Bonus Features in Annihilator

Annihilator has 3 bonus features. You have the randomly triggered In Command feature where gives you wild reels and re-spins until you get a winning combination. In the Fun Palace feature, you pick from dolls to win cash prizes. The Set the World on Fire feature rewards you with up to 50 free spins, a roaming wild reel and a trail of fire that can give you extra wilds.

In Command feature

Annihilator benefits from an In Command feature. This is randomly activated on any base game spin. Once triggered, any Jeff Waters wild symbol on the reels will expand to takeover the whole reel giving you wild reels. Multiple wilds will lead to multiple wild reels.

If no winning combination or feature trigger is created from the wild reels, you will be awarded 1 free re-spin. The expanded wilds/wild reels will be locked in position with the other reels respinning. The re-spins will keep on coming until a winning outcome and/or feature trigger is awarded. This feature is only available from the base game.

Fun Palace feature

There is a Fun Palace feature which can be played when you get 3 Clare the doll bonus scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4 simultaneously in the base game. You head inside the ‘Fun Palace’ where you’ll see the staircase and lots of creepy dolls.

You need to pick dolls to reveal prizes until the end prize is chosen. If you find a prize that’s worth 1, 2, 3 or 5 times your total stake, you will get another pick. Finding a prize of 10,15, 20, 25 or 50 times your total stake, the feature will end. You can also uncover the scatter symbol which ends the feature and takes you to the Set the World on Fire feature right away.

Set the World on Fire feature

The other way to enter the Set the World on Fire feature is by landing the devil scatter symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5 simultaneously in the base game. Inspired by their song and album of the same name, the mansion is now on fire in the background.  With 8 free spins awarded, you’ll also see an expanded wild/wild reel on every free spin.

The wild reel moves randomly left or right before every free spin. In the process, it creates a trail of fire which can be 1 or 3 symbols high. A wild symbol landing on a highlighted symbol will transform the entire trail of fire into extra wild symbols.

Furthermore, look out for devils scatters as each one adds 2 more free spins to your tally. There’s up to 50 free spins to be played with in total.

Annihilator Slot Details & Wager Limits

The Annihilator slot takes place on 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 paylines. With all 10 paylines fixed, a winning combination is formed by landing 3 or more matching symbols across any of the paylines, starting from reel 1.

Available to play from as little as 10p to as much as £100 per spin, there’s a standard Auto Play functionality where you can opt for up to 100 spins. You can customise that further by stopping Auto Play if you enter the Free Spins feature, win a certain amount or if your balance increases/decreases by a chosen number.

High variance and rated 8/10, you can win up to 400 x your stake on each spin/free spin in the Annihilator slot game. Normally, Play ‘n GO slots come with 5,000 x stake payouts on each spin.

Annihilator RTP

The RTP is 96.2% – this seems to be the chosen RTP % for most Play ‘n GO slots like Testament and Ring of Odin amongst others. For every £100 you bet on the game, your return will be £96.20 on average.

Annihilator Theme – Audio and Design Features – welcome to the Fun Palace

Annihilator slot - base game

The Annihilator slot is the official game for the Annihilator thrash metal band. The Canadian band has sold more than 3 million worldwide and have released 17 studio albums since they were founded in 1984.

The slot draws inspiration from The Fun Palace song which is from the ‘Never, Neverland’ album. With a creepy mansion in the backdrop, you will see the words ‘Fun Palace’ spray-painted onto the entrance’s pillars. It has an eerie and creepy feel to it. If you’re a fan of the Annihilator band, you’re in luck as there’s a playlist available with a selection of hit songs.

Symbols include A, K, Q, J and 10 royals which all have blood splattered across them. The 3 higher value symbols are represented by a broken mirror, Jeff’s iconic Epiphone ‘Annihilator II guitar and Alice and her doll Clare. The latter pays 1.5, 6 or 30 times your stake for 3, 4 or 5 across any of the 10 paylines.

Jeff Waters (the band’s guitarist) is the wild symbol and substitutes for all symbols except the scatter and bonus symbols. Appearing on all 5 reels, only a 5 wild combination will give you a win in its own right. This pays 40 times your total stake.

As with all Play ‘n GO slots, Annihilator is available to play on desktop, mobile and desktop devices. It looks (and sounds) particular good on smaller screen sizes.

Annihilator Review Summary – great to look at but disappointing payouts wise

The Annihilator slot looks and sounds superb (as you’d expect from Play ‘n GO). Graphically rich and high definition, the playlist of Annihilator songs is a nice touch for fans of the band. However, the most you can win on each spin or free spin is 400 x stake which is low compared to most titles from this developer.

The maximum payout, according to Play ‘n GO, is 5,000 x your stake but this in total in the Set the World on Fire feature. If you look at another of their rock slots, there are much bigger payouts on offer. Looking at Testament, you can win up to 20,000 x your stake.

Annihilator may look and sound the part but it’s disappointing from a maximum win perspective. It will just blend into the background unfortunately.
