3 Shooting Stars Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
Every spin in the 3 Shooting Stars slot game starts on a classic 5-reel, 3-row layout with 25 fixed paylines. It’s a straightforward setup that’s easy to follow from your very first round. Plus, wins are formed when matching symbols appear on consecutive reels from left to right, following a familiar format you’ll recognise from many other casino slots online.
You can play from 20p per spin, with a maximum wager of £25, or £5 in the UK. Adjusting your stake is simple too. Use the plus and minus buttons beside the bet display until you find an amount you’re comfortable playing.
If you’re playing at non-UK 3 Shooting Stars casinos, you’ll also have access to Autoplay and Quick Spin. These let you play a series of up to 99 spins automatically and shorten animations, respectively.
Iron Dog Studio set the 3 Shooting Stars RTP at 95.15%, just below the current industry average.
The slot uses high volatility, meaning quiet periods can be followed by much larger returns when the features connect. Meanwhile, the 3 Shooting Stars max win reaches a modest 6,000x your stake, plus a jackpot progression system that keeps building as you play.
3 Shooting Stars Theme: Chasing Jackpots Beneath Neon Lights
The moment I launched the 3 Shooting Stars demo, I could tell it was inspired by the classic casino slots you’d find on a Vegas floor. Very little happens behind the reels, which works in the game’s favour because your attention naturally stays on the colourful jackpot meters and Shooting Stars. That said, it has enough character to hold its own among today’s new slots.
One thing I would have loved is some upbeat casino music in the background. Still, while nothing is overly dramatic, I appreciate that the existing effects are familiar slot-machine sounds.
The lower-paying symbols in 3 Shooting Stars are card royals, as in plenty of other releases, including many games in our free play slots collection. Moving up the paytable, you’ll find a pair of dice, a golden horseshoe, a bell, and finally a diamond as the highest-paying regular symbol.
Here’s the full breakdown of all symbol values available at UK online casinos:

J | 3, 4, or 5 = 0.3, 0.5, or 2x the stake |
Q | 3, 4, or 5 = 0.3, 0.5, or 2x the stake |
K | 3, 4, or 5 = 0.3, 0.5, or 2x the stake |
A | 3, 4, or 5 = 0.3, 0.5, or 2x the stake |
Dice | 3, 4, or 5 = 0.6, 1.2, or 5x the stake |
Horseshoe | 3, 4, or 5 = 0.8, 1.5, or 10x the stake |
Bell | 3, 4, or 5 = 1.2, 2.5, or 15x the stake |
Diamond | 3, 4, or 5 = 2, 5, or 25x the stake |
Wild | 3, 4, or 5 = 2, 5, or 50x the stake; substitutes for all non-special symbols |
3 Shooting Stars Mobile Slot
The reels at 3 Shooting Stars mobile casinos stay large enough to follow comfortably, while the colourful jackpot meters above them remain easy to read. The betting controls and menu buttons are also well spaced.
The slot supports both portrait and landscape play, although I found the latter to be the better option. I like how the grid occupies more of the display. The vertical view still works perfectly well, but the reels don’t fill as much of the screen.
3 Shooting Stars Bonus Features
3 Shooting Stars has only one main bonus feature, but it’s more than it looks at first. Once it triggers, multiple coloured stars travel across their own jackpot trails, collecting prizes along the way.
Shooting Star
The Shooting Star Feature can trigger whenever one or more Star Coins are visible on the reels. However, only one Star Coin can appear on each reel at a time, and there are four types:
- Blue: Launches a blue star
- Red: Launches a red star
- Green: Launches a green star
- Multi Star Coins: Count as all three colours at once; launches one blue, one red, and one green star together
Once the feature begins, each star follows its own journey. Each one tries to travel as far as possible along its matching coloured meter. As it moves, its cash value increases, and the farther it gets, the more valuable the possible prize becomes.
The stars can also reach fixed jackpot levels during their journey:
- Mini = 10x the stake
- Minor = 25x the stake
- Major = 50x the stake
- Mega = 100x the stake
- Grand = 1,000x the stake
As soon as a star reaches one of these levels, that jackpot is attached to it. If the same star later reaches a higher jackpot, the earlier one is replaced by the higher prize. So, for example, if a star first reaches the 25x Minor and later gets to the 100x Mega, it ends up with the 100x Mega, not both.
If several stars are active at once, they all keep moving independently. One might stop early while another travels much farther. When a star reaches the end of its personal journey, it explodes and reveals the cash value it has collected. Any other active stars continue moving until they finish too.
The Resolution
The cash prizes can reach up to 1,000x the stake. These can include one decimal place, so you could get something like 24.5x. However, they are never exactly 1x, and a normal cash value can never be exactly the same as one of the jackpot amounts.
The feature only finishes once every active star has completed its journey and exploded. Any jackpot attached to a star is then added to that star’s final cash prize, and after all stars are finished, every star prize is added together to give you the total feature win.
3 Shooting Stars Verdict: Three Stars, Plenty to Chase
The best moments here don’t happen all at once. They come from seeing each star slowly work its way across the jackpot ladder, wondering whether it’ll stop early or make it one step further. That simple idea carries the whole game remarkably well, even if the RTP and maximum win are nothing out of the ordinary.
3 Shooting Stars slot has a funny way of making you focus on one star more than the others. Once all three are moving, I found myself paying more attention to how far each one would get than what was happening on the reels.
Away from the feature, this is about as traditional as Vegas slots come. The presentation is colourful, and the rules are easy to pick up in minutes, while the pace never drags. I’d have preferred a higher RTP and a higher maximum win, but I can also appreciate that Iron Dog Studio resisted filling the game with mechanics it didn’t really need.
