Chance Level (Unavailable in the UK)

You can increase the chance of the bonus round landing, but this increases the size of your stake. You can boost the chances by 2, 5, or 10x, and each one increases your stake by the same amount. However, this option doesn’t increase the coin values by the same amount. So, if you play with £1 per spin and boost it by 10x, your wager is £10, but the coin values are the same as with a £1 spin.

You can jump right to the bonus round, but it costs more than a standard spin. The following options are available:

The premise behind the game is a decent enough idea, but it’s too similar to other games in the series, and the maximum payout is a severe letdown.

Pros

• The bonus round can be fun
• Multipliers on collector symbols can give a welcome boost
• It’s quite a fast-paced game

Cons

• The maximum payout is far too low
• It’s identical to other games in the franchise
• High volatility may not suit all players

It’s difficult to be harsh on slot games. A lot of work goes into creating them, and it’s something I couldn’t do. However, it’s obvious that this is just a copy of other games in the Coins series from Wazdan. It has some redeeming features (for example, the bonus rounds are pretty deep), but it’s not enough.

I could forgive the issues if the payouts were impressive. But, with a high volatility in place, 2,000x your stake is far too low. 20 Coins™ Grand Gold Edition is just like other games bearing the coins moniker, from the top win to the gameplay, and even the graphics. If Wazdan boosted the paytable and distinguished between the games, I’d give this a much higher score. Unfortunately, without that, it can’t get any higher than 2.8.
