xWays feature

As in the Infectious 5 slot, xWays Hoarder xSplit uses the xWays mechanic. The xWays symbol can land on reels 2, 3 and 4 only. The xWays symbol will then turn into a standard symbol and show the equivalent of 2, 3 or 4 symbols.

This can in turn increase the number of ways to win. It can lead to 95,760 ways to win in total. If you land more than 1 xWays symbol on the same spin, they will all transform into the same matching symbol.

xSplit Wilds feature

The xSplit wild symbols can land on reels 3, 4 and 5 only in the base game. Triggering the xSplit Wilds feature, all the symbols directly to the left of the xSplit wild are then split and will show 2 rather than 1 symbol.

If a symbol is split more than once, it also brings a multiplier into play. The xSplit wilds can split xWays symbols, the xSplit multiplier is doubled for each split.

There’s a single xSplit wild that can land on reel 3. There are 2 stacked xSplit wilds on reel 4 and 3 of them on reel 5 which means that it’s possible to fill the whole of reel 5 with xSplit wilds. After the split has taken place, the xSplit wild turns into a standard wild. This can in turn be split by another xSplit wild.

Bunker Raid Spins feature

The Bunker Raid Spins feature triggers when you land 3 or 4 scatter symbols on the same spin. You’ll then go on to play 7 or 10 free spins. Like many games in the Nolimit City catalogue, the gameplay in the xWays Hoarder xSplit slot is rather complicated. The xWays and xSplit mechanics certainly take a bit of getting used to. This is a slot where you really should try and have a spin in demo mode if you can.

The design and theme is rather out there though which is superb as Nolimit City always offer something unique and enticing. The gameplay is equally as good with the xSplit Wilds feature giving you more ways to win in the base game as well as adding multipliers. It does remind me a little of San Quentin in the way it works.

The bigger wins will come in the Bunker Raid Spins feature due to the sticky xWays symbols which also add more free spins, infinitely, to your tally. The key is to collect xWays symbols which gives you access to more levels where you’ll spin with more higher value symbols.
