1st Place: Money Train 3 (Relax Gaming)
Following the success of Money Train and Money Train 2, Relax Gaming released Money Train 3 in September this year. With more of a futuristic feel visually, the graphics have been dramatically improved. However, all eyes were on the Money Cart Bonus feature.
Importantly, Money Train 3 added more special symbols than in its predecessors which can boost win potential significantly. The Persistent Shapeshifter symbol is one to look out for as it can act like any other special symbol for huge wins hopefully.

Released in January 2022, Tombstone RIP was Nolimit City’s signature slot this year. With so many Wild West themed games available, NLC focused on 5 ruthless outlaws who are intent of causing chaos. Controversy ensured as the game features hanging, amputations and murder. Graphically, it’s brutally excellent.

Our winner is undoubtedly Nolimit City. Since their formation in 2014, they have pushed the boundaries of online slot game production with controversial themes, unique concepts, innovative mechanics and engaging bonus features.
In 2022, they began with Tombstone RIP, our 2nd rated game of the year. Towards this end of this year, Nolimit City have been releasing 2 slots a month with this trend set to continue in 2023 we’re told. We cannot wait to see what whacky and abstract concepts/themes they come up with next.

Relax Gaming
In 2nd place, huge kudos has to go to Relax Gaming. For starters, they did produce our slot of the year (Money Train 3). With 2 more slots in the top 10 (Beast Mode and Dead Rider’s Trail), they have delivered some superb slot games in 2022.
It’s also worth mentioning that they have released plenty of Dream Drop jackpot slots where you can win 5 jackpots. The Mega Jackpot is the biggest and currently worth £2,340,927.51.

The Border
The award for the best grid slot of 2022 goes to The Border. Nolimit City’s first grid game too, it seems like our slot provider of the year turns everything they touch into gold. Based on the US/Mexican border, this immigration themed game sees patrol agents take on cartel kingpins. Brilliantly designed, it’s played on a 6×6 grid initially.
With collapses and lots of extras, Nolimit City has managed to incorporate popular features from previous slots in a cluster pays system.
