It’s Time Theme—Perfectly Captures Bruce Buffer’s Charm

I absolutely love the theme at It’s Time casinos. I grew up with Bruce Buffer and his brother Michael, so it’s a real nostalgia hit for me. A really nice touch is when the game first loads, the progress bar says “buffering”, and those little things are everywhere. The reels are set out inside an MMA cage, the lights shine like at a real fight, and you hear Bruce announcing It’s Time as the game starts. 

It’s an excellent theme, and it shows that Relax Gaming has a lot of respect for Bruce Buffer, too. This is probably the best theme of any slot that’s based on combat sports.

It’s Time Mobile Slot

The It’s Time mobile slot retains everything that makes the desktop game work well. The graphics are crisp, controls are responsive, and there’s very little slowdown. It doesn’t move the layout around, so it’s simple to switch between versions. 

Landscape mode is the best for this game, as it spreads and fills more of the screen. Portrait mode is playable at mobile casino sites, and if your phone has a large screen, it’s playable, but it’s still better in landscape.

The It’s Time bonus features add plenty of enjoyable mechanics to the game, but they can take lots of spins to trigger.

Hot Spots

On any spin, spaces in the middle can turn into Hot Spots. If 4 identical fighters land here, they lock, turn wild, and award a respin. Any other examples of the fighter in the Hot Spots that land will also turn wild.

Fighter Bonus

If you land a different full-stack fighter symbol on the first and last reels, it triggers the Fighter bonus. You get 5 respins, where all of the symbols that match either the first or last reel lock in place. You can land a multiplier upgrade symbol, or diagonal, right, or left symbols that turn other fighters into the fighter that dropped the symbol.

Once the respins end, whichever fighter has the most symbols turns the losing fighter’s symbols into their own. Then, paylines are evaluated to create wins.

Buffer Bonus

If you land a full stack of Bruce Buffer on the first and last reels, it triggers the Buffer Bonus. It awards 3 respins and locks all Buffer symbols that land. If you land a new Buffer, it resets the respin counter. The same modifier symbols can land in the Buffer Bonus as in the Fighter Bonus.

There are some fun mechanics available in It’s Time, but the maximum payout isn’t high enough to make it a must-play.

There’s quite a lot to like about It’s Time. The theme is extremely interesting and pays homage to Bruce Buffer with a lot of respect. It has some enjoyable gameplay mechanics, which make it a lot of fun. 

Unfortunately, the positives run out when you get to the maximum win. At just 2,500x your stake, it’s well below what a high volatility game should offer. It puts a ceiling on how good this game could be, which is frustrating. It’s worth playing if you’re an MMA fan, but other than that, it doesn’t stand out.
