The Extreme™ slot uses a 5×3 grid, echoing what Starburst offers, but it increases the paylines to provide 20 ways to win. It aligns with the average for online slots, but it isn’t up to the level of what more expansive new slots provide. You need at least 3 matching symbols on a line for a win. 

You can wager between 20p and £50 in the Extreme™ slot game. It’s a decent stake range, but could put off high rollers. Controls are at the bottom of the screen, and like the best online slots, you can set up an autoplay. However, you can’t use the autoplay function if you’re at a UK online casino. 

The Extreme™ RTP is 96.59%. It’s just above the market average, which is a solid level. There are no RTP ranges, so you can play it in its best form at your favourite UK slot sites. The volatility is advertised as medium, but while I was putting together my Extreme™ review, it felt a lot higher. I regularly went long spells without wins, making it frustrating at times. 

There’s an Extreme™ max win of up to 6,300x your stake, which is well below what progressive jackpot slots offer. While it’s not bad, it’s not in line with the peak of the industry. Extreme™ Theme—Bright Neon Space Scenes

Extreme™ tries to create a bright and exciting vision from the first moment you start playing. It’s an interesting approach that takes a lot from Starburst, but tries to put its own spin on it. The graphics seem shinier, and they’re very colourful, and while it’s not a new take, it’s done well, and StakeLogic has obviously put a lot of effort into this. 

The sounds are great. I like the ambient tune that plays and the futuristic sounds when you spin the reels. It makes Extreme™ casinos a pleasant experience across the board.

Extreme™ Mobile Slot

After an update in 2024, the Extreme™ mobile slot is solid. It works well on any platform and doesn’t move much in terms of layout. You don’t get any squashing of visuals, but it works better in landscape mode. While the symbols retain their perspective, they are bigger in landscape, making it more enjoyable for mobile casino users. 

Extreme™ Bonus Features

The Extreme™ bonus features all stick to a similar approach. Each one triggers based on special cubes that can land on the reels. 

Mystery Multiplier Cube

A multiplier cube can land in any space on the reels on any spin. It acts as a wild and applies a 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7x multiplier to any wins it is part of. If there are multiple cubes as part of a win, the values add together. In the Free Spins, the multiplier values are between 5 and 15x.

Dropping Wild Cubes

When a wild cube lands on the middle reel, it lands 2 more on top of it to fill the reels. The game then awards respins while the cubes drop a space down until the wilds are no longer visible. 

Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 scatters awards 10, 20, or 30 Free Spins. It acts the same as the base game, apart from the increased wild cubes. You can retrigger the round, and there’s no limit on the number of available spins.

With a name like Extreme™, I was expecting something that pushed the boundaries. Instead, it’s a Starburst clone that takes things just a few steps further. It’s frustrating, as some of the ideas here have a lot of potential. The Free Spins combining with the multiplier cubes is something that could have been a trademark feature with some extra ideas. 

The top win isn’t bad, but it’s a pretty mid-range win. While the volatility is advertised as medium, I don’t buy it, as it feels so much higher. A game that feels like this needs bigger wins on offer. As a result, it’s a mid-range game with a mid-range score.
