Wild Robo Factory is a 5 reel, 25 payline slot from Yggdrasil Gaming that comes with 5 reels and 25 paylines. Available to play on all devices from 5p to £125 a spin, it’s based on evil robots who work their mechanical servants to the bone to turn them wild. It comes with free spins, Robo Wilds, symbol upgrades and system overloads.
Visually, I must say Wild Robo Factory is superb – set inside a mechanical factory, you will see hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds as well as 4 different robot servants. The Robo Wild is the wild symbol and can appear as a single symbol and a 2x wild – both of these can appear stacked and 2 reels wide.
You will see them on the Robo conveyor belt which move by 1 position left with each spin. Randomly in the base game, the Robo Respin feature can be triggered – a Robo is placed on the conveyor belt on reels 3, 4 or 5. As long as you see an active Robo on the reels, the respins keep on coming. The Robos become inactive when the reach reel 1. The 2x Wild Robo is like the regular wild but doubles your winning outcome.
Then you have the Robo Free Spins feature which is played by getting 3 or more free spin symbols on a single spin. You are than awarded Robos which are placed on the conveyor belt spaced 1 to 3 spots apart:
- 3 free spin symbols will give you 5 Robos
- 4 free spin symbols will give you 10 Robos
- 5 free spin symbols will give you 15 Robos
They move from the right side of the reels to the left. The free spins continue as long as the Robos are active on the reels (they are inactive when reaching reel 1). You can also benefit from free spin symbols to give you more Robos for more free spins.
Furthermore, the conveyor belt can reverse randomly – this will move all Robos backwards 1 to 9 positions allowing you to benefit from used Robos a second time for more free spins. This is known as the System Overload feature.
Finally, there’s a Symbol Swap feature – all instances of 1 low value symbol will be randomly transformed into the equivalent high value symbol if you are guaranteed a winning com bination. This feature can apply in the base game, Robo Free Spins feature and Robo Respins feature.
Wild Robo Factory is a lot simpler than it reads – basically, the Robo Wilds are key to everything really. As long as they stay active, you will get plenty of respins and free spins. The 2x Robo Wild is obviously rewarding and this slot is medium to high variance with top payouts of 2,878 times your stake on each spin, respin or free spin.
If you like the robot theme, NetEnt’s EggOMatic has some similarities but set in a robot egg factory. If you want the ultimate robot, Playtech’s RoboCop (based on the iconic film) is a slot I highly recommend.
