Ice and Fire Theme/Symbols
Visually, Ice and Fire is superb – with 2 reel sets side by side, you’ll see an icy thundra to the left and vulcanic wastelands to the right. It does have a touch of Game of Thrones about it. With an epic soundtrack, symbols include rings, snow owls, white tigers, ice dragons and the ice queen.
On the fire side, you’ll see magical orbs, horses, foxes, fire dragons and the fire queen. Each set of symbols appear in its respective reel set. You’ll also see low value A, K, Q, J and 10 royals on each reel set. The most valuable symbols are the ice and fire queens which pay 53.33 x stake for 5 in combination.
Cascading Symbols feature
Ice and Fire uses a Cascading Symbols feature – when you get a winning combination, the contributing symbols are removed. The remaining symbols then fall into the vacated spaces with new symbols filling the remaining empty spaces. This allows you to win again and again from each spin.
Shared Wilds feature
There’s a wild symbol, the book with the dragon’s eye on it – as well as replacing all symbols bar the scatter, it will be copied over to the same position on the opposite reel set when it appears. Known as the Shared Wilds feature, it copies to the other reel set except when a scatter is in that position.
Free Games feature
If you manage to get 4 or more cascades (consecutive wins), you’ll play the Free Games feature. You then pick from the ice or fire dragon – each one will give you either 8, 10 or 15 free spins with 100 or 150 extra wilds. You can retrigger the feature giving you up to 30 free spins in total.
Multiplier feature
Now, the Ice and Fire slot comes with a Multiplier feature – this is triggered by collecting 3 or more dragon egg scatters anywhere across both reel sets. Ice and Fire certainly looks good – dragons are very popular. With an epic soundtrack, the cascading symbols can lead to free spins which is good. However, it’s all about the Multiplier feature where cascading wins will increase the multiplier with no limits.
