Upon launching the Giganimals Gigablox slot, you’ll find a 6 reel, 4 row layout with 40 fixed paylines. Wild Surge Feature

On any spin, the Wild Surge feature can trigger at random. When it does, all instances of 1 or more of the low-paying symbols will turn wild. Wins are calculated after the Wild Surge, so this feature can be quite lucrative.

Collection Feature

To the left of the reels, you’ll find 4 spaceships. Create a win with the 4 low-paying symbols and they ‘recharge’ the spaceships, adding to the relevant collection meter.

When a win is added to a collection meter, you may also receive a ‘Collection Mulitplier’ message. This helps the meters to fill faster, by giving you multipliers between 1 and 5 x. Once a meter is completely full, you trigger the Collection Free Spins feature.

Collection Free Spins Feature

As just mentioned, once you fill a collection meter, you trigger a Free Spins bonus round. You then recieve between 5 and 24 free spins.

At the start of the Free Spins feature, all collection meters are cleared and reset with much lower targets. The triggering collection symbol also acts as a wild.

Giganimals Gigablox Summary – a slightly confused slot

First things first, let’s discuss the theme. Whilst it’s definitely unique and entertaining, it feels a little jumbled. Although the battery symbols correspond in colour to the spaceship collection meters, there’s a lot going on and understanding how this works can be difficult to begin with.

The graphics aren’t the only thing which seem slightly confused about this slot either. Yggdrasil Gaming have produced a range of Gigablox slots now, though some are far better than others. 90K Yeti Gigablox, for instance, comes with 90,000 x bet and 46,656 ways to win. In contrast, the Giganimals Gigablox max wins of 5,120 x your stake feel underwhelming.

What’s more, for all the chaotic illustrations, there aren’t many features to write home about. Unless you continue filling collection meters, the free spins round is pretty basic. We enjoyed the Wild Surge feature most, as this led to some sizeable combinations, but nothing crazy.
