Yahtzee Slot Review
The game follows on from a successful land based version which has 3 separate and lucrative bonus features. Look out for the wild symbol which appears on reels 2 through 5. When the Wild Multiplier Active appears in the top right-hand corner, all line wins with 1 or more wild will be multiplied by 2x to 36x – 2 dice are rolled and the outcomes are multiplied by one another!
On to the features – first up you have the 4 to a Yahtzee Free Roll Bonus feature – this is triggered when 5 Roll symbols appear. 4 of the same dice number will be held and one die will be rolled – you will either get a 4 of a kind of 5 of a kind (Yahtzee). You won’t trigger this feature often (on average once every 400 spins) which means that wins from this feature will be big when you do get to play it.
Then there’s the Yahtzee Bonus feature – look out for the Dice Bonus symbol which appears only on reel 5. When it appears, it will then award a number of bonus symbols. You can play the feature with just 1 Bonus symbol but wins will be subject to a 1x multiplier. More bonus symbols means a higher multiplier value (i.e. 3 bonus symbols = 3x multiplier). When you collect 5 symbols, the Yahtzee Bonus feature is automatically triggered. You then need to click the blue cup to shake the dice.
The matching dice with the highest value will be held with the blue cup being rolled again – you will have 3 rolls in the hope of getting a Yahtzee. What you get will be multiplied by the number of Bonus symbols you had to trigger the feature. If no pair is rolled after 3 rolls, you will be awarded the Chance Bonus.
If you roll a Yahtzee on the first roll of the Yahtzee Bonus feature, you will be awarded the First Roll Yahtzee Jackpot – this will reward you with 4,500 times your stake! If you roll a Yahtzee and then roll another Yahtzee on the next roll, you will be awarded the Back to Back Yahtzee Jackpot which is a whopping 40,000 times your stake! Basically, if you were to get a Yahtzee of 6s, that would equate to 30 (added up). 30 times your stake will be applied to your stake – if you were playing at £1 a spin, you would win £30.
I found the Yahtzee slot to be a medium variance game – there a frequent wins in the base game but most of the bigger wins will almost certain come in the Yahtzee Bonus feature. I found most of my big wins came in the Yahtzee Free Roll Bonus feature where I walked away with over 500 times my stake last time out. I really like the game but I think a huge factor is that this is a game I play with my family for money! However, if you’re looking for a more traditional slot game, you can’t go wrong with the brilliant Black Knight II.
