Giant’s Gold Slot Review
Giant’s Gold is a WMS Gaming-powered video slot loosely based on the fairytale of Jack and the Giant Beanstalk. I’m sure you’ve heard of the phrases ‘Fee-fi-fo-fum’ and ‘I smell the blood of an Englishman’. Anyway, the slot game is a Colossal Reels slot meaning you have a 5×4 reel set and 5×12 Colossal Reels set – there’s 100 paylines in total and the game can be played from 50p to £100 a spin.
The wild symbol in the game is the beanstalk with the feature symbol being the Golden Egg. When 4 stacked wilds appear in the main reel set, it will transfer to the corresponding reel on the Colossal Reel set and make that reel wild. The bigger wins will come with have 2 or more wild reels across both reel sets.
As for the Golden Egg symbol, those only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5 of the main reel set and reels 1, 3 and 5 of the Colossal Reel set. In order to trigger the Free Spin feature, you need 3 or more Golden Eggs symbols across 3 or more reels across both reel sets. 3 Golden Eggs symbols gives you 5 free spins with each additional Golden Egg symbols giving you an extra free spin. If you get 40 or more Golden Eggs, you will receive 100 free spins.
The good thing about the feature is that line pays on the Colossal Reel set pays double – i.e. a 2x multiplier. During the feature, look out for Golden Eggs on the 3 reels (1, 3 and 5 of both reel sets) as this will give you extra free spins. I’ve managed 62 so far with a top win of 232 times my stake.
Giant’s Gold is a good slot and I prefer it to KISS Shout It Out Loud to be honest. In terms of variance, I would class it as low to medium with decent wins coming in the Free Spin feature. However, triggering the feature is not as often as I would have hoped. If you’re looking for a huge win, I recommend Black Knight II – despite the opportunity to win big being quite a lot lower.
