Gems Gems Gems Slot Review

Gems Gems Gems has a 5 reel main reel set with 3 additional 5 reel sets on the right. Powered by WMS Gaming, it’s a Super Multi-Pay slot which has 80 paylines but played with 40 coins (1 coin per 2 paylines). It’s the same layout as the Bruce Lee Dragon’s Tale game as is based on beautiful gems. The game is playable from 40p a spin to £80 a spin.

The unusual reel layout sees wild and feature symbols from the main reel set replicated on the other 3 smaller reel sets to give you bigger chances of winning. For example, if you get a wild reel on the main reel set, it will transfer to the same reel on the other 3 smaller reel sets. The wild symbol is the Gems Gems Gems symbol and the feature symbol is the Diamond symbol.

The main attraction of this jewel-encrusted game is the Free Spins feature – if you get 3 or more Diamond symbols in any of the reel sets, you will trigger it. 3 Diamonds in a reel set will give you 10 free spins whilst 4 will give you the same plus 1 times your stake. 5 Diamonds will give you 10 free spins with 2 times your stake as a cash prize. However, you can get between a 3x and 12x multiplier depending on how many reel sets you get 3 or more Diamonds on:

  • 10 Free Spins with a 3x multiplier for 3 or more Diamonds on 1 reel set
  • 10 Free Spins with a 6x multiplier for 3 or more Diamonds on 2 reel sets
  • 10 Free Spins with a 9x multiplier for 3 or more Diamonds on 3 reel sets
  • 10 Free Spins with a 12x multiplier for 3 or more Diamonds on all 4 reel sets

3 or more Diamond symbols during the free spins feature will give you a further 10 free spins with a total of 20 free spins possible. In the feature, only 1 reel set is used so to win big, you need a couple of wild reels on a few free spins. I’ve played this game a few times now and managed to win 15 times my stake in the base game (on 1 spin). I’ve also played the Free Spins feature and managed to win just under 100 times my stake making Gems Gems Gems quite a volatile game.

To be honest, I found the game to play quite slow which I don’t like. Also, the music in the Free Spins feature is very cheesy and not something I like (you could always mute it). Whilst I’m sure the potential for big wins is possible, it’s not a game that has impressed me as I would rather spend my time playing other WMS slots such as Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers or Zeus III.
