Visually, Desert Cats is what you’d expect from WMS – it has a certain land-based feel to it. Symbols on the reels include A, K, Q, J and 10 playing cards as well as ankh crosses, stone tablets, death masks, Bastet, lions and an Egyptian woman. The latter 2 symbols are the most rewarding giving you 200 times your stake for 7 across a payline.
The lion is the wild symbol and replaces all symbols bar the scatter (the golden lion). Wilds can appear 1×1 or 2×2 in size. The 2×2 wild may contain gems and only appear in the base game – the 2×2 wild without gems will only appear in the Free Spins Bonus feature.

Desert Cats would really be a slot to be reckoned with if the pays for the regular symbols were higher as 200 times your stake on each spin/free spin is pretty low. Overall, a decent slot from WMS but I’d much rather play more volatile ancient Egyptian offerings like Book of Dead from Play ‘N Go or Ark of Mystery from Quickspin.
