Crystal Forest is a 5 reel 25 payline video slot which is powered by the impressive WMS Gaming. This is a Cascading Reels game (like Invaders from the Planet Moolah) with reels that cascade from above. Set with a forest, it’s full of riches and wonder kept secrets that have been there for centuries (apparently). It has a top prize of £3,750 per spin and can be played from 25p a spin to £125 a spin. The game features wilds, scatters, stacked symbols and free spins.
In terms of Cascading Reels, reel symbols fall into position from above (contrary to traditional spinning reels). If you have a winning combination, the responsible symbols disappear and create gaps – these are then filled as new symbols cascade into position. This means you can win multiple times on every single spin.
If this happens more than 4 times consecutively, you will trigger the Free Spins feature – there is a meter down the left-hand side of the reels which marks how many consecutive wins you’ve had. 4 consecutive wins will reward you with 7 free spins, 5 consecutive wins with 10 free spins, 6 consecutive wins with 15 free spins, 7 consecutive wins with 25 free spins and 8 consecutive wins with 50 free spins.
During the feature, if you get 4 or more consecutive cascades, you will get additional free spins to the ones you have already. I’ve only ever got 10 free spins from 5 cascades but have been rewarded with an extra 7 free spins during the feature a few times. I found that my bigger wins have come from the base game. However, I do prefer WMS’ other Cascading Reels slot, Invaders from the Planet Moolah, as I found Crystal Forest to be quite slow moving. Also the theme is one I don’t like that much compared to the space cows!
