Reel Multiplier feature

Charged wilds are special wild symbols edged in flame that land in addition to the standard wild symbol. The Charged wild substitutes for all the standard symbols as per usual. Each Charged wild increases the multiplier for that reel by 1. Land a winning combination on a reel that includes a multiplier and the payout is boosted by that. This is called the Reel Multiplier feature.

Better still is if you land a winning combination where more than 1 reel have a live multiplier. Those multiplier values are combined to deliver an even bigger payout boost. For example, 2x and 3x reel multiplier would combined to deliver a 6x boost. In the base game, the multiplier resets at the start of each new spin.

When a Charged wild has increased a reel multiplier it explodes and drop until they land on another symbol or reach the bottom of their reel. Between 3 and 8 nearby symbols also explode. Other Charged wilds on the screen also explode before turning into regular wilds.

Wild Encore feature

To the side of the reels, you’ll see the Bonus Meter. When you’ve collected 30 exploded symbols, you’ll reach the Wild Encore level and 3 Charged Wilds are added to random positions on the reels.

Bonus Game feature

When Charged wilds explode, they add to the Bonus Meter. When you totally fill the Bonus Meter by collecting 55 symbols, the Bonus Game is triggered. Your reward here is 8 free spins.

The reel multipliers are active during the feature, just like in the base game. Unlike the base game though, the multipliers don’t reset with each new free spin. Instead, the multipliers continue to increase. Any multiplier that are active on the triggering spin carry over into the free spins.

Similarly, the Bonus Meter resets with each new base game spin. It doesn’t reset in the free spins until the meter is filled though. When this happens, 3 more free spins are added to your total. This can lead to unlimited extra free spins in theory.

Gods of Rock Review Summary – excellent visually + superb bonus features

The theme in the Gods of Rock slot might be a bit mad but it comes together very nicely. It’s as stylish as we’ve come to expect from a Thunderkick release and the gameplay serves up ample variety. Boring this most certainly isn’t.

The Reel Multipliers and Charged wilds can really rev up the action in the base game and especially the free spins where multipliers do not reset. The Charged wilds remind me of the xBomb wilds in Nolimit City’s Fire in the Hole. For big wins, you need reel multipliers on multiple reels.

The max win is capped at 20,000 x stake per spin but could theoretically be a lot higher. Tread carefully though as the volatility here is high. In summary, Thunderkick has combined 2 popular themes with explosive bonus features that can lead to huge wins. It’s one of their best slots to date.
