When symbols reach the Ghost Reel, they will have their value multiplied by the reel multiplier and then placed in a random position on the grid. If a Gold Doubloon Coin is placed on top of another, their values are combined.

Persistent Payer symbols reaching the Ghost Reel see the value of all Gold Doubloon Coins increased by the Persistent Payer value. This also includes other Persistent Payer symbols. If a Multiplier Monkey symbol lands before shifting, it increases the Ghost Reel value by the multiplier value. It will then transform into a Gold Doubloon Coin of that value.

The feature ends when you run out of free spins. All Gold Doubloon Coin values are added together and awarded as your final win.

Bones & Bounty Review Summary: simple yet rewarding Hold ‘n Win slot game

With so many pirate-themed games available, Thunderkick had a tough ask when creating the Bones & Bounty slot game. Aesthetically, it has 3D quality graphics and the immersive soundtrack gives it an air of intensity and mystique.

As mentioned above, they’ve done a great job of giving this game an authentic unique look and feel. It’s much more intense and appropriate compared to Shifting Seas but not as unique as 1429 Uncharted Seas for example (both by Thunderkick).

With stacked wild respins in the base game, Bones & Bounty is all about the Cash Bonus feature. It doesn’t have as many special symbols as the Money Train series from Relax Gaming but there’s enough variety to make it enjoyable and potentially lucrative.

I like how the grid shifts towards the Ghost Reel which then sees gold doubloons coins subject to the Ghost Reel multiplier. Multiplier Monkeys are key to increasing the Ghost Reel multiplier which in turn will boost your winning potential.

With 25,000 x bet payouts possible in the feature, it can pack quite the punch if you’re luck is in. All in all, the Bones & Bounty slot is well-designed, simple to follow and offers a good Hold ‘n Win style feature with big win potential. Yes, it’s not quite in the same category as other slots offering a similar bonus feature but it’s decent enough.
