Beat the Beast: Dragon’s Wrath RTP, Details & Wager Limits
Reels/Paylines: 5 reels + 9 paylines
Stakes Range: 10p to £100 per spin
Max Win: 11,111 x stake
RTP: 96.18%
The Beat the Beast Dragon’s Wrath slot is played on a 5×3 reel setup and has 9 fixed paylines. Wins are formed by matching 3 or more Royal symbols or 2 or more of any other symbol on adjacent reels from left to right, beginning from the leftmost reel. Only the highest win is paid per line.
Stakes range from just 10p up to £100 per spin. Select the bet value below the reels to bring up a table showing 14 predefined values. Fast play and auto play are also options but only if you’re a non-UK player. UK players won’t see these additional options.
The Beat the Beast Dragon’s Wrath RTP is 96.18%, which is slightly above the industry average. It’s also great to see the rate bounce back to around 96% after the provider’s release before this one, Xtermniate, saw the RTP rate dip to 94.12%.
Regarding volatility, it’s as high as it can be and rated as very high by Thunderkick. The hit frequency is 25.36%, which means that just over a quarter of all spins on average will result in a winner.
The maximum win is 11,111 x bet. The provider doesn’t specify anywhere what the probability of landing the top prize is, but because of the high volatility, I expect it’s rarer than a lot of other slots on the market with similar max win potential that might not be as volatile.
Theme – a tranquil fantasy
Theme: Fantasy
High Value Symbol: Dragon’s Head
Compatibility: Mobile, Tablet, Desktop
The theme here is one of fantasy, with a picturesque background and dragons causing havoc on the reels. The visuals look quite dated, but I think that’s what the provider is looking to achieve here. The colours are bold and the striking animations when a winner lands are a nice touch.
In terms of the audio, it’s very calming to begin with, but then switches to something you’d associate with going into battle. It’s a nice mix, albeit quite repetitive. Trigger the bonus feature and the sound intensifies with the background switching to a fiery setting to enhance the overall gameplay.
On the reels, the A-9 Royals make up the lower-paying symbols. The higher-paying ones include a sword, a helmet, a dragon and a dragon’s head. The dragon’s head symbol is the most rewarding, paying 1, 5, 20 or 50 x stake for 2, 3, 4 or 5 in combination respectively. The Scatter amnnd the Wiolild in the game is the Dragon Emblem symbol .More on that furthrer down in the review.

Beat the Beast: Dragon’s Wrath mobile
Released on the 21st of February 2024, the Beat the Beast Dragon’s Wrath mobile slot is available to play on mobiles, tablets and desktops at the best mobile UK casinos. Compatible with all Android and iOS smartphones, the 5×3 reel layout looks great on smaller screens.
Beat the Beast: Dragon’s Wrath Bonus Features
This slot comes with 3 bonus features. The Dragon Emblem plays an important role in the game, which also leads to free spins with multipliers up to 150x. Non-UK players can also buy the bonus feature for a certain price. Read on as we run you through all of the bonus features.
Dragon Emblem
The Dragon Emblem symbol is a Scatter and a Wild with a multiplier of 2x that substitutes for any other symbol in the base game. Any win on a payline that includes 1 or more Wilds will add up its multiplier. The symbol can do more in the Free Spins feature, which leads us nicely on…
Bonus Game
Land 3 or more Dragon Emblem symbols to trigger this bonus feature. You will start with 3 free spins. In this bonus round, the Dragon Emblem symbol transforms into a Roaming Wild that substitutes for all other symbols and will remain on the reels for the duration of the bonus feature.
Before each spin, the symbol will roam to an adjacent position. Two or more Roaming Wilds cannot roam to the same position.
If 1 or more Roaming Wilds are part of a winning combination, 1 extra free spin is added to your remaining total.
It’s also important to note that the Roaming Wild symbol always carries a multiplier that starts at 2x. When 1 or more of these symbols are part of a winning combination, its current multiplier(s) will be randomly added to one of the other Roaming Wild symbols (up to a max of 50x). So, for example, a Roaming Wild with a 2x multiplier and one with a 4x multiplier will total 6x for that win. The maximum total multiplier for Roaing Wilds is 150x (50x + 50x + 50x).
Non-UK players can buy the Free Spins feature for 125 x bet. The RTP if bought this way will be 96.44%.
Beat the Beast: Dragon’s Wrath Slot Review Verdict – nostalgic
If you’re excited to see how the Beat the Beast Dragon’s Wrath slot might have improved this series of games after a long layoff, you might be a little disappointed. While technology has advanced since the last release of Beat the Beast: Griffin’s Gold back in 2020, nothing has really changed in this new instalment. But that’s a deliberate move from the provider, who wanted to bring back some nostalgic gameplay. And they’ve succeded in my opinion as it brought back some fond memories of when I was playing the original releases in 2020.
The Roaming Wilds remind me a little of Jammin’ Jars in the way it all happens, so maybe Thunderkick got the idea from Push Gaming? Who knows? Either way, the bonus features here are enjoyable, albeit a little basic. I just wish there were 1 or 2 more bonus features, but that’s just my personal opinion. There’s certainly an enjoyable element to the gameplay, and I like that the multipliers can reach 50x here compared to just 5x in the previous release in the series.
Overall, it won’t suit everyone but it takes you on a nostalgic journey with some solid win potential. Don’t hesitate to try our free demo before using any real money so that you can get a feel for the slot.
For something a little different but following the fantasy/dragon theme, check out Dragons Clusterbuster from Red Tiger and Dragon’s Domain from Hacksaw Gaming. It’s a very popular slot that comes with some great bonus features.
