The Expendables Megaways Theme/Symbols
There’s a military feel to the design in The Expendables Megaways slot game. On the reels you’ll see A to 10 symbols plus cast members Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li and Jason Statham. The best standard symbol is the Sylvester Stallone character, Barney Ross. He pays 1, 2.5, 5, 7.5 or 12.5 times your stake if you land 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 on adjoining reels, starting from reel 1. The dog tag is the wild. This replaces all the standard symbols.
The number of symbols on each reel varies with each spin. You’ll see between 2 and 7 symbols randomly on each reel. Depending on how many symbols are in play, you’ll have between 324 and 117,649 Megaways active. Land a winning combination and those symbols are removed and new ones drop in and replace them. These symbol drops continue if a new winner is formed. Keep an eye on how many Megaways are active in the meter in the top left corner of the screen.
Bullet Bonus feature
Each time you land a bullet symbol, it’s collected in a meter in the right-hand corner of the screen. Once the meter is filled with 5 bullets, you’ll trigger the Bullet Bonus feature. A volley of gunfire hits the reels, adding 5 wilds to a random selection of positions on reels 2 through 6. A new payout calculation is made with the wilds in position.
Free Spins feature
The Free Spins feature is triggered by landing 4 or more skull symbols anywhere on the reels on the same spin. You’ll then receive 10 free spins with a starting 1x multiplier. After each free spin, the multiplier can remain the same or increase by anything up to 5x.
Land a winner that’s made up of a low value royal and that symbol is then removed for the rest of the features. This mean that future free spins will contain higher value symbols each time a low value royal is removed from play. Landing 3 or more skulls results in a re-trigger, with no limits.
The Expendables Megaways thoughts
We weren’t really bowled over by The Expendables film but the The Expendables Megaways slot version is pretty good. It’s well designed and the Megaways game mechanic, Bullet Bonus and free spins with expanding multipliers are a fine combination.
It’s very fiery too. This is a high variance slot. The max win per free spin is 26,965 x stake which is very good. The best winning opportunities will come in the Free Spins feature as the multiplier can jump by up to 5 for each win/cascade. Furthermore, the removal of low value symbols will help you form bigger wins.
If you like Megaways slots, it’s worth embarking on a mission with The Expendables (Megaways). If you want more branded slots with his mechanic, Who Wants to be a Millionaire Megaways, from Big Time Gaming, is recommended.
