Shocking Wild is a fast-paced, futuristic looking 5 reel, 10 payline slot from Stake Logic. Well-designed and super simple to play, the chief attraction in this brightly designed game is the Alternating Wilds feature which sees a new symbol becoming the wild on each spin. Play from between 10p and £50 per spin.
Compared to some of Stake Logic’s feature heavy slots, Shocking Wild is a pretty simple affair – there aren’t any free spins, cash trails or wheel of fortune style extras that are usually found in slots from this developer. This is a stripped back offering.
The only extra on offer is the Alternating Wilds feature – on each spin, 1 symbol will be chosen at random to become the wild symbol for that spin. Every single symbol that matches the randomly chosen wild will also turn wild for that spin. As normal, they can substitute for all other symbols.
The design standards are as high as ever though – set against a space backdrop, the reels include 9 different gemstone symbols. The lowest payer is the pink triangle which awards 5, 10 or 25 coins for a 3, 4 or 5 symbol combination. The symbol you’re really hoping to see is the white diamond which will get you 100, 200 or 500 coins.
The imagery is nice and crisp, enhanced by some impressive animations and bolts of lightning that herald each spin. Even if you’re playing in turbo mode, the gameplay is silky smooth.
Shocking Wild is something of a departure for Stake Logic which is probably best known for its lavish, HD, 3D slots and their ample storytelling backgrounds. This simple affair is just the opposite. It’s a really basic game. Just spin and go. That’s not to say that it’s a boring slot. The action comes thick and fast.
If you like slots with plenty of variety and a range of features, then Shocking Wild probably won’t be one for you. If you’re after simple, hypnotic action, then Shocking Wild is one to consider. I recommend you take a look at the other Stake Logic titles with King Bam Bam being one of my favourites.
