Stardust is a Microgaming-powered video slot which is only available to play on desktop (i.e. laptop/PC) devices. With 5 reels and 40 paylines, it can be played from 40p to £100 a spin. The game has a retro arcade feel to it and will remind you a little of NetEnt’s Starburst.
In the base game, you have 40 paylines – look out for the Stardust symbol which appears stacked on all reels. This changes in the Free Spins feature as its super stacked on both reels 4 and 5. The Free Spins feature is triggered when you collect 10 gems in the base game.
Each gem collected is added to the Stardust Meter and added to the free spins starting win – this will reward you with up to 13 free spins. More importantly, the number of paylines increases to a whopping 1,024 in the feature too!
There is also a Radiant Respin feature where reels 4 and 5 can respin to boost your winning potential – this occurs when you have a 3 symbol win with both reels 4 and 5 respinning once. Stardust is one of 4 slots released in December 2015 and for that reason feels a little underwhelming. Microgaming is a bit hit and miss when it comes to the games but I would rather stick to proven Microgaming classics like Immortal Romance and Jurassic Park which are simply brilliant (and higher variance).
