Fire Queen is an 11 reel 100 payline video slot powered by WMS Gaming. Like Elvis The King Lives, it’s a Double Money Burst slot meaning it’s volatile. The game is based on the Fire Queen as she defends her land against the treasures being taken away. It has a mystical and magical feel to it with excellent graphics. You will notice right away that Fire Queen doesn’t have a usual 5 reels by 3-4 rows layout – it uses a 2×2 reel set as well as a 3×6 reel set on the right hand side. The 2×2 reel set are actually 8 reels as they spin independently with the reels 9-11 on the right hand side. The game benefits from wilds and multiple ways to trigger the free spins feature described below.
The Free Spins feature can be activated in a few ways – if you match 4 symbols on the 2×2 reel sets (which means reels 1 to 4 and reels 5 to 8) you will get 5 free spins. If you have the mystic ball feature symbol on reels 9, 10 and 11, you will also get 5 free spins.

Fire Queen is a brilliant game in my opinion with a unique reel layout that sounds more complicated than it actually is. I found the Free Spins feature to be a little frustrating as I’ve had some massive wins but more often than not they range between 10 and 30 times my stake – that’s to be expected from a high variance game. If you like volatile games, you should stick to WMS slots such as Black Knight II and Raging Rhino with other medium variance games like Zeus and Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers also excellent.
