Set in a desert, you’ll see a train line running across the middle of the screen. In the backdrop, you’ll see planets and solar systems faintly lining the sky. With the same distinct steampunk feel, below the grid you’ll see the metal train take centre stage. It’s equipped with plenty of weapons to survive the onslaught on bandits.

The soundtrack has an orchestral feel and could easily feature in a Hollywood movie or Netflix series. It did remind me of Hans Zimmer initially for some reason. You’ll also hear mechanical sounds when winning combinations are formed with the guns going off. You can tell Relax Gaming has thrown a lot at Money Train 4 and rightly so.

In the base game, you’ll see diamond, club, heart and spade royals. Then you have 4 bandits which include the payer, sniper, collector and Necromancer. For the collector and Necromancer, you need 8+ symbols on the grid to land a win. The highest-paying symbol is the Necromancer awarding between 1.2 and 1,000 x your total bet.

With no wild symbol, there is a Bonus Scatter which is key to triggering the Money Cart Bonus feature. During this feature, there are plenty of special symbols which perform various functions (more on this below).

Released on the 20^th of September 2023, Relax Gaming used the latest HTML5 technology to produce the Money Train 4 slot. Money Train 4 Bonus Features

The Money Train 4 online slot comes with 3 bonus features. Randomly, a respin will be awarded with the symbol most present on the reels. Respins continue if more symbols land as well as multipliers. It’s all about the Money Cart Bonus feature where there are new special symbols that could lead to 150,000 x bet payouts. Non-UK players have 2 options in the Buy feature.

Respins feature

Like in Money Train 3, there is a Respin feature which is can be randomly triggered at the end of any base game spin. The symbol most present on the reels is selected and will be sticky for the respin. On the respin, extra symbols of the same kind can land. This will award another respin.

Look out for Multiplier symbols which don’t stick on the grid but will reward you with an additional respin. Multiplier values are added together and will multiplier the final win amount. Respins keep on coming until no new matching symbols land.

Money Cart Bonus feature

Like in previous games, the Money Train 4 slot game is all about the Money Cart Bonus feature. It’s triggered by landing 3 or more Bonus Scatter symbols anywhere on the grid. Look out for gold Persistent symbols as they can substitute for the Bonus Scatter when triggering this feature.

Once the feature begins, the triggering symbols will reveal a bet multiplier value of up to 10 x your total bet. Then 3 spins are awarded. If a Persistent symbol was used when triggering the feature, it will reveal its function before the first spin. Every new symbol landing will become sticky and the spins counter resets to 3.

If you manage to fill a row with symbols, an extra row is opened with any new symbols in the new row performing their function. You can benefit from up to 4 extra rows during the feature. More importantly, the following 20 special symbols can land which perform their own function:

Compared to Money Train 3, there’s an extra bandit, more special symbols and much larger win potential in the Money Train 4 slot. With 150,000 x bet payouts, this is a must-play slot which brings the popular series to an end.

The last game in the series, the Money Train 4 slot delivers. With the previous games being so popular, it has a lot to live up to. Money Train 3 in particular has become one of the internet’s most popular online slot games and won our Best Slot of the Year award in 2022.

With a futuristic feel, it takes you further into the future with excellent graphics, animations and a superb soundtrack which sets the scene nicely. Visually, it still has a lot of similarities to its predecessors which will please fans of the Money Train series.

In terms of the gameplay, the Respin feature is, by enlarge, the same. All about the Money Cart Bonus feature, I like the addition of the adjacent symbols. They perform the same functions as the normal versions but in 8 adjacent positions.

Then you have the Arms Dealer that joins the other bandits. She basically transforms up to 4 Bonus symbols into a random special symbol which then performs its action/function. Other symbols to look out for are the Unlocker, and Reset Plus. They unlock extra rows (for extra symbols) and give you more respins.

I particularly like the Upgrader symbol as this upgrades up to 3 special symbols into their Persistent counterparts. This can be particularly important as in 1 instance, the feature can be turned on its head. If you have a screen with many Bonus symbols, the Upgrader symbol can work it’s magic and set off a chain of events with big wins to follow.

As with previous games, the bigger wins will come from the Persistent symbols as they apply on each spin. The Persistent Shapeshifter in particular will transform into another special symbol on every spin. It can give you an Arms Dealer symbol which will in turn give you up to 4 more special symbols.

Offering pretty much the same as Money Train 3, there’s an extra bandit, more special symbols and much bigger win potential. With 150,000 x bet max wins, the Money Train 4 slot does exactly what a sequel should do. Relax Gaming has still managed to keep to the Money Train ethos whilst improving every aspect every so subtlety.

Overall, Money Train 4 is another powerhouse slot game with huge payout potential in the Money Cart Bonus feature. Whilst Relax Gaming claims ‘this is the end game’, I certainly hope they will rethink this and deliver a fifth installment to the series in future.
