Free Spins feature

In the Free Spins feature, a bomb symbol is attached to some stone blocks. Any adjacent win to a bomb will see the bomb explode. Bonus Trail feature

The Dead Rider’s Trail slot is another great game from Relax Gaming. Fans of trail bonus slots will be happy there’s a sequel to the extremely popular Dead Man’s Trail.

The biker/motorcycle club theme is welcomed and not as commonly seen as pirates or Wild West heists. Visually excellent, the team at Relax Gaming have surely looked at Beast Mode for inspiration. They may have also had an eye on Quickspin’s Cash Truck.

Where Dead Rider’s Trail tops Dead Man’s Trail is in regards to bonus features. The addition of cascades keeps the action ticking along and allows for stone blocks to be destroyed in order to enter the all-important Feature Wheel. The Free Spins feature comes with bombs that cover entire reels and transform symbols into the same symbol. This is something the game’s predecessor doesn’t offer.

The Bonus Trail and Super Bonus Trail features are similar to the corresponding features in Dead Man’s Trail and Money Train 2. With tiles worth up to 1,000 x bet, the key to big wins is from the silver and golden trucks. I found the Sniper and Two-Knife modifiers to be of particular importance. Landing Refuel modifiers is crucial to build up the tile values though.

The real value will come from the Persistent modifiers though. I particularly love the Persistent Two-Knife modifier as up to 200 x bet can be added to up to 4 tiles on each turn. The Super Bonus Trail feature will potentially give you a bigger payout as you’re more like to trigger Persistent modifiers.

With 50,000 x bet max wins available, it’s the same max exposure as offered in Dead Man’s Trail and Money Train 2. Will the upcoming Money Train 3 slot go bigger? Time will tell.
