Fruit Combinator Slot RTP, Details and Wager Limits
Reels/Paylines: 6 + 707 ways to win
Stakes Range: 20p to £40 per spin
RTP: 96.1%
Max Win: 6,224 x stake per spin
The Fruit Combinator slot is played on 6 reels and uses the Drops mechanic to bring you up to 707 ways to win. All winning combinations start from the leftmost reel and pay from left to right on adjacent reels where symbols are on adjacent rows.
Stakes range from just 20p up to £40 per spin, catering to lower and higher stakes players. To adjust your total bet, hit the hamburger menu in view and then choose the coins icon. You will have 16 predefined bet values to pick from. It would be nice if you could adjust your stake a little easier but that’s just how it is, unfortunately.
The Fruit Combinator RTP is 96.1%, which is slightly above the industry average. It won’t be troubling the best UK slots in terms of RTP rate, but a real positive here is the low volatility. A lot of slots tend to be in the medium or high range these days, so it’s nice to see the variance levels lowered in this Fruit Combinator slot game.
The game comes with a hit frequency of 24.81%, which isn’t too bad and eclipses a lot of other slots on the market. It’s not the highest we’ve seen though by any means. This figure means that just under a quarter of all spins on average will result in a winning combination.
The maximum win is 6,224 x your total stake. While the Drops can potentially bring some big wins, the Free Spins feature is your best chance of getting close to the top prize. This is because SCatters can reset the spins back to 3, paving the way for numerous spins that can lead to bigger payouts. More on this bonus feature further down.
Theme – quench your thirst
Theme: Fruit
High Value Symbol: Grapes
Compatibility: Mobile, Tablet, Desktop
The theme in the Fruit Combinator slot game is a popular one that’s been done a lot – fruit. The reels are set up in the clouds, with not much of a background to speak of other than some clouds passing by. The audio is a mix of a guitar, a harp, a piano and a few other things, which I’m not personally a fan of. I found it hard to ascertain how it fits in with the overall theme. Maybe it gives a sense of tranquillity and being above the clouds? I’m not sure. I’ve heard worse though, but I’m not a fan of the soundtrack here.
The symbols are colourful though, which makes it look great from a visual point of view on your desktop or smartphone. I don’t mind the animations when winning combinations land either, that’s a nice touch that elevates the gameplay slightly. but if you’ve ever played ReelPlay’s Professor Clank’s Combinator slot, you’ve probably guessed that it’s simply a clone of that.
On the reels, the A-10 Royals make up the lower-paying symbols. These are joined by a number of higher-paying fruits – strawberries, watermelons, oranges, plums and grapes. The grapes symbol pays the most, awarding 1.25, 2.5, 5 or 10 x your total stake for 3, 4, 5 or 6 in combination.
The game’s Wild is a gold W on a purple background, and it will only appear on reels 2, 3, 4 or 5. The Scatter is a star, which can award prize values to boost your winnings. Here’s a breakdown of the symbols you’ll find in the game:
Symbol | Payout |
---|---|
10 | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 0.1, 0.2, 0.4 or 0.5 x stake |
J | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 0.1, 0.25, 0.4 or 0.6 x stake |
Q | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 0.15, 0.25, 0.5 or 0.7 x stake |
K | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 0.15, 0.3, 0.5 or 0.9 x stake |
A | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 0.15, 0.3, 0.6 or 1 x stake |
Strawberry | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 0.2, 0.3, 0.6 or 1.2 x stake |
Watermelon | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 0.25, 0.5, 1 or 2 x stake |
Orange | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 0.25, 0.75, 1.5 or 2.5 x stake |
Plum | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 0.5, 1, 2 or 4 x stake |
Grapes | 3, 4, 5 or 6 = 1.25, 2.5, 5 or 10 x stake |
Wild | Substitutes for all except Scatter |
Scatter | 3+ triggers Free Spins feature |
Fruit Combinator Mobile
Created using the latest HTML5 technology, the Fruit Combinator mobile slot game is available on desktop and mobile devices using Windows, MAC, iOS or Android operating systems. The colourful fruit theme works well on smaller screens, but I always personally prefer games with over 5 reels on a larger screen.
Fruit Combinator Bonus Features
There are 5 bonus features to enjoy in the Fruit Combinator slot game. From the Drop feature and Scatter prizes to free spins, there’s a lot going on. Let’s run you through how everything works for you, starting with the Drop feature.
Drop feature
As you spin, 3 symbols are dropped onto each of the 6 reels. The following 3 things could happen once a winning combination lands:
- Explosions – when a winning combination lands, all symbols in non-winning positions are removed except Scatters. The remaining symbols drop to the bottommost position on their reel.
- Morphs – If there is more than 1 symbol type left after an Explosion, they are all transformed into the highest-paying symbol of those still present. This excludes Scatters and Wilds.
- Boosters – If any previously winning symbol is no longer in a winning position after Explosions and Morphs have happened, extra matching symbols will be added to 1 or more surrounding reels to make it a winning symbol.
Once the stages have happened, a new symbol will be dropped onto the top of each reel that has less than 5 symbols present. Any dropped symbols (except Scatters) that don’t match or substitute for the current paying symbol explode and disappear from the reels. Any that match or substitute but don’t drop into a paying position will explode too. The only ones that stay are those that match or substitute and land in a paying position.
Scatter symbols are always kept on the reels
You will enjoy an extra Drop if the total kept symbol count is higher than that of the previous Drop. But it’s important to note that new Drops cannot be triggered if all reels contain 5 symbols.
Free Spins feature
Land 3 or more Scatters in the base game of the Fruit Combinator slot game to trigger this bonus feature. The prize value on each of the Scatters is paid and then 3 free spins are awarded. You simply spin away until the number of spins hits zero. If you manage to land a Scatter during the bonus road, the number of spins available will reset to 3 and that Scatter value is paid to you.
Although non-UK players typically have a Buy Bonus feature, there isn’t one available for this slot
Scatter Prizes
Each Scatter symbol displays a prize value. Land one of the following in the Free Spins feature and it will be paid out to you, it’s as simple as that:
Bonus | Prize Value |
Grand | 2,000 x bet |
Major | 250 x bet |
Minor | 50 x bet |
Mini | 10 x bet |
Non-bonus prizes range from 1 to 100 x bet
Fruit Combinator Review Summary – pick your juicy fruit rewards
Many previous ReelPlay slots have had the Inifinty Reels or the 10K Ways mechanics attached, which have made them stand out from the crowd. The same can’t be said for the Fruit Combinator slot as it’s just a clone of Professor Clank’s Combinator. Furthermore, it’s arguably worse in terms of no Buy features for non-UK players and a lower max win potential of 6,224 x.
I think the overall theme is also a bit too vanilla. There’s nothing that gets me excited and not even the bonus features had me excited to continue playing for a prolonged period. There just isn’t enough variation for my liking. But that’s not to say some others won’t enjoy it. In my opinion, there are much better games out there for you to get stuck into, but feel free to try our demo first and decide for yourself.
Want fruits but more action? Check out Microgaming’s Starlite Fruits Mega Moolah, which has an RTP rate well above average as well as a Mega Jackpot that pays out at least £2 million. Alternatively, there’s the Opal Fruits slot from Big Time Gaming that has 5,625 paylines and 36,600 x max wins.
- 6,224 x max wins
- Low volatility
- Innovative Drops mechanic
- Essentially a clone of Professor Clank's Combinator
