A leopard skin leotard-wearing strongman is the star of Buster Hammer, a superbly designed circus-themed slot from ReelPlay. There’s plenty to enjoy in this trip to the big top including wild hammer multipliers, a free spins feature with multipliers and super seal feature that awards prizes of up to 75 times your total stake. Play this 5 reel, 243 ways to win game from between 25p and £625 per spin.
Buster Hammer looks and sounds terrific – set inside a circus tent, the reels include classic A to 9 values alongside performing cartoon lions, seals and elephants. Rounding out the regular symbols is the dapper strongman Buster Hammer who sports a very tidy handlebar moustache.
An animated Buster oversees all the action from the side of the reels – whenever the wild hammer lands, Buster will bang down on the test your strength machine. The higher the meter goes, the bigger the multiplier applied to your wild win. If there are multiple wilds on the reels, Buster will take multiple swings. The combined total is added together and then applied to your payout.
The Buster Hammer logo is the scatter – land 3 of these anywhere on the reels and you’ll win a payout of 5 times your total stake as well as triggering the Free Spins feature. Here you’ll be given 3 options:
- 8 free spins with wild hammer wins doubled (2x)
- 6 free spins with wild hammer wins tripled (3x)
- 4 free spins with wild hammer wins quintupled (5x)
If multiple wilds land on the same sinning free spin, it’s possible to boost your payouts with a mighty multiplier of some 75x!
There’s 1 more treat on offer in Buster Hammer, namely the Super Seal feature – this can hit at random on any spin. A performing seal will appear at the bottom of the reels and balance a number of balls on its nose. Each 1 of them will reveal a cash prize which can reach up to 75 times your total stake if the hammer multipliers work their magic.
We’re not usually big fans of the circus but this trip to the big top provided plenty of entertainment. The design is superb with lush HD visuals, a traditional brass soundtrack and plenty of oohs and aahs from the audience.
The features stack up well too – the wild multiplier appears regularly to keep the base game action flowing at a decent lick. The multipliers can really hold their own in the Free Spins feature though. Opt for the maximum multiplier then hit more than 1 of them on the same free spin and some bumper rewards are possible – up to a massive 391,075 times your stake per free spin!
With its charming looks and quality bonus features, this Hammer show is anything but a horror. I also recommend you take a look at the sequel, Buster Hammer Carnival, which is just as good.
