Pinatas & Ponies Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
Reels/Paylines: 6×6 grid + cluster pays
Stakes Range: 10p to £40 per spin
Max Win: 2,172.7 x stake per spin
The Pinatas & Ponies slot is another addition to the list of grid slots on the market and is played on a 6×6 grid. It uses the cluster pays mechanic, and 8 or more matching symbols in a cluster will result in a winner.
Stakes range from 10p up to £40 per spin, thus catering to most pockets. Simply use the + and – buttons on either side of the bet value below the reels to adjust your stake. Turbo spins and autoplay are also options if you’re outside the UK.
The Pinatas & Ponies RTP is 95.66%, which is below the average for an online slot and certainly won’t be anywhere near the list of best RTP slots. A fair few Red Tiger slots are below average, so it’s not really a surprise that this one is too. However, with the max win being so low compared to many online slots, it’s a little disappointing to see.
In terms of volatility, it’s rated 4/5 by the provider, which puts the volatility in the medium to high range.
The maximum win is 2,172.7 x your stake. The Super Spins feature will be your best chance of landing this due to the multipliers that can reach 30x.
Theme – candies pop as prizes drop
High Value Symbol: Chocolate
Compatibility: Mobile, Tablet, Desktop
They say that no celebration is good enough with Pinatas & Ponies, and that’s exactly what we have here. It’s interactive too, which is a fun element. You have to use your pinata buster to smash the pinatas to reveal multipliers. The reels are set in a field, with bunting and balloons on either side.
The soundtrack is upbeat and party-like, with sound effects appearing all over the place – when pinatas land, when winners land, and when the Sweet Spins feature is close. It all adds to the atmosphere as you spin away.
On the reels, the lower-paying symbols include strawberries, grapes, oranges and watermelons. The higher-paying ones include 3 different coloured candies and a chocolate sweet. The chocolate sweet is the most rewarding symbol, paying up to 20 x your stake for 25+ as part of a cluster.
There’s no Wild in the game, but there are 3 pinatas that can provide numerous multipliers and a Scatter symbol that can trigger the Sweet Spins feature if 3+ land anywhere in view.
|Strawberry||8+ up to 25+ = 0.1 up to 1.2 x stake|
|Grape||8+ up to 25+ = 0.1 up to 1.5 x stake|
|Orange||8+ up to 25+ = 0.3 up to 2 x stake|
|Watermelon||8+ up to 25+ = 0.5 up to 3 x stake|
|Brown Candy||8+ up to 25+ = 0.7 up to 5 x stake|
|Pink & Purple Candy||8+ up to 25+ = 1 up to 7 x stake|
|Red & White Candy||8+ up to 25+ = 1.2 up to 10 x stake|
|Chocolate Sweet||8+ up to 25+ = 1.5 up to 50 x stake|
|Sweet Spins Scatter||3+ triggers Sweet Spins feature|
|Blue Pony Pinata (Small)||Can award 2x, 3x or 5x multipliers|
|Purple Pony Pinata (Big)||Can award 6x, 7x or 10x multipliers|
|Pink Pony Pinata (Super)||Can award 11x, 12x or 15x multipliers|
Pinatas & Ponies Mobile
Released on the 30th of November 2022, the Pinatas & Ponies slot game has been created with the latest HTML5 technology. This means it has been optimised for mobile, tablet, laptop and PC devices. Smartphone users can play this game on mobiles operating iOS or Android, but I do prefer grid slots on bigger screens if I’m honest.
Pinatas & Ponies Bonus Features
There are 5 bonus features to enjoy in the PInatas & Ponies slot game – free spins with a buy option, 3 pinata bonuses and a progress bar where you can unlock the 3 pinatas. The Sweet spins feature will stack the multipliers that land too up to a maximum of 30x. Let’s run you through each of the bonus features, starting with the pinata multipliers.
The pinatas are chilling at the top of the reels as you spin, but they can randomly come to life and grant a multiplier to all wins at the end of a spin. The bigger the pinata, the bigger the multiplier, as follows:
|Small Pinata||2x, 3x or 5x|
|Big Pinata||6x, 7x or 10x|
|Super Pinata||11x, 12x or 15x|
It’s important to note that during the Sweet Spins feature, multipliers are stacked, which means that the total could reach a maximum of 30x.
Sweet Spins feature
3 or more Scatters in the base game of the Pinatas & Ponies slot game will give you 10 free spins, or sweet spins as they call them.
Each additional Scatter above the minimum of 3 will award +2 spins.
If you manage to land 3 or more Scatters during the bonus round, you will receive 5 or more extra spins, with each additional Scatter above 3 awarding +2. So, for example, if you land 5 during the bonus round, you’ll get 9 spins (5+2+2).
As mentioned above, all multipliers are stacked, which means that the maximum could reach 30x instead of just 15x in the base game with the pinatas. I thought it was important to reiterate that point.
You’ll notice a progress bar above the reels. This will fill up based on the number of winning characters participating in winning clusters. When a pinata is activated on the progress bar, you can smash it with your stick to reveal a random multiplier, which can reach 30x. Here’s how many matched symbols you need to unlock a pinata:
- 30 matched symbols unlock the Small Pinata
- 60 matched symbols unlock the Big Pinata
- 120 matched symbols unlock the Super Pinata
For players outside the UK, you can buy different-sized pinatas as well as the Sweet Spins feature from 5 x your stake
Pinatas & Ponies Review Summary – an abundance of candies waits for you
This is a cheerful and upbeat game to play, which will probably put you in a good mood, especially when you’re smashing the pinatas to reveal multipliers that can reach 30x in value. But after the initial fun, it’s lacking in all other areas in my opinion. The bonus features are ok, but the low RTP of 95.66% and low max win potential of 2,172.7 x your stake don’t make the Pinatas & Ponies slot too appealing.
This was released just before yet another grid slot with a sweets theme (Peggy Sweets), but neither slot is great. They’re good fun to play for a while, but the enjoyment is limited with the low RTP rates and low max wins. Still, overall, it’s going to appeal to players who enjoy themes such as this, but you might be moving on sooner rather than later to something where you get a lot more bang for your buck.
Looking for bigger win potential? The Sweet Bonanza slot from Pragmatic Play is a solid choice. It’s arguably one of the best sweet-related slots on the market and comes with max wins of 21,175 x your stake and an RTP rate that’s well above average. Check out the Christmas version too – Sweet Bonanza Xmas.
- Multipliers up to 30x
- Fun theme
- Low max win (2,172.7x)

The maximum win is 2,172.7 x your stake. This isn’t very high compared to a lot of other slots on the market, which is a shame. However, it’s by no means the lowest we’ve ever come across. The Sweet Spins feature will be your best chance of getting close to it.
