Persian Fortune is a nicely designed Middle Eastern themed slot from Red Tiger Gaming. This 5 reel, 20 payline game comes with symbol drop technology that boosts your payouts with expanding multipliers that can reach up to 8x. Look out too for giant symbols, re-spins with added wilds and pick me prizes of up to 888x. Play from between 20p and £500 per spins.
Set on a moonlit balcony and flanked by ornate pillars, the reels include A to 10 playing cards, a vase, a pair of scimitars, a gem encrusted ring and a golden palace. The mysterious Persian woman is the game’s wild, replacing all other symbols apart from the bonus.
Persian Fortune is played using a symbol drop game engine – after each winning spin, the successful symbols are removed from the reels and replaced by the symbols above. These keep on coming as long as there’s a winning combo on show somewhere on the reels. Each successive symbol drop win also increases a multiplier. It starts at 1x on your first win then goes on to boost your payouts by 2x, 3x, 5x, 6x and 8x on subsequent wins.
Red Tiger Gaming has managed to pack plenty of little extras into this trip to the east – look out for the giant symbols that can hit on any spin. These can land as giant 2×2 or better still as 3×3 tiles. This Mega Tiles feature can be found in other Red Tiger Gaming slots.
Symbols can also be highlighted in a blue frame – if this happens and the symbol is part of a winning combination, you’ll be awarded a respin. A selection of wilds are added to the reels for the re-spin which offer some excellent winning opportunities. This is known as the Persian Magic feature.
Rounding out the goodies is the Magic Carpet Bonus feature which is triggered by landing 3 of the treasure chest bonus symbol anywhere on the reels on the same spin. You’ll then be presented with 14 golden tiles behind which lie a series of gemstones.
Land 3 of the same jewel and that’s the prize you’ll win. 3 purple stones awards 18x with 3 blues offering 38x. A trio of greens will get you 138x. Best of all is the red stone which will see you pocket an 888x bonus prize.
You’ll have no doubt noticed that there aren’t any free spins on offer here. That would be a major red flag for some slots but the fact that Persian Fortune has so many other extras means that it’s not a deal-breaker here.
Of those mini-features, we enjoyed plenty of success with the highlighted symbol followed by respin. The added wilds can make a big difference here. The Magic Carpet Bonus feature was much harder to come by. We’d put the variance in the medium range.
The design here is certainly above average, combining nicely drawn imagery with a delicious Persian style soundtrack. Combine that with a decent range of features and Persian Fortune is one of Red Tiger Gaming’s more entertaining efforts and worth investigating. I’d also play Puss ‘N Boots which is just as good.
