With similar graphics and visuals, the relationship between Gonzalo and Gonzita is unclear. She’s more likely than not Gonzo’s sister but have 2 children with similar names is quite odd. i would assume Gonzita is Gonzo’s daughter.

Anyway, Gonzita is on a quest to find El Dorado, the lost city of gold. The setting is an Amazon jungle where you’re high up in a stone temple. Like in Gonzo’s Quest, Gonzita is quite animated when you land winning combinations.

Chain Reaction feature

Gonzita’s Quest Review Summary – entertaining slot but lacks firepower of the original

The Gonzita’s Quest slot will instant appeal to fans of the original Gonzo’s Quest. Visually, it’s very similar and uses a near-identical soundtrack and symbols. With Avalanches now referred to as Chain Reactions, that’s where the similarities end unfortunately.

The Free Spins feature is more like a respins game in essence. The key to big wins is to fill the reels with the slabs containing bet multiplier prizes in order to land Golden and Diamond Slabs which are worth a lot more. Diamond Slabs can contain prizes up to 750 x bet which is good but the max win of 2,580 x bet overall is a tad disappointing.

The original Gonzo’s Quest offers 37,500 x bet max wins whilst Gonzo’s Quest Megaways (by Red Tiger Gaming) comes with 21,000 x bet top payouts. Even the newer Gonzo’s Gold has 6,500 x bet win potential:

I did enjoy the Free Spins feature though and like the fact Gonzita did the Macarena when I achieved a big win of over 420 x my total stake. That said, Gonzita’s Quest is a rather tame one that is nowhere near as good as the original. If the win potential would have been higher, Red Tiger Gaming would have been onto a real winner. Gonzita does strut her stuff confidently so deserves a lot more in my opinion.
