Based on the Chinese zodiac, Divine Ways is a 5 reel, 20 payline slot powered by Red Tiger Gaming. Available to play on desktop, tablet and mobile devices, it comes with a cloning wild feature that can turn multiple symbols wild on any single spin. Play from between 20p and £500 per spin.

Divine Ways is as well designed as usual from the Red Tiger Gaming development team – the plain white reels are set against a mountain skyline backdrop, filled with wispy white clouds. Symbols on show include the usual lower value playing card values which award between 4 coins for three 10s and 40 coins for five As.

Joining them are a quartet of animal symbols, each of which is based on a sign of the Chinese zodiac. There’s a giant tortoise fighting off a snake, a rampant dragon, a bright red rooster and a white and gold tiger. They all offer the same payouts. 3 in a row will get you 25 coins. 4 in combination award 50. Land a full 5 and the cashier will ring to the tune of 150 coins.

There are no scatters (and no free spins) but there is golden coin symbol which is the wild – this isn’t just any old wild though. It’s a cloning wild. Whenever it lands, it will reproduce and turn a selection of adjacent symbols into wilds too.

You can typically expect to land 5 or 6 extra wilds whenever the cloning wild hits. It’s possible to land many more than this though. If you manage to fill the whole screen with wilds, a prize of some 800 times your stake is on offer! This is known as the Cloning Wilds feature.

Divine Ways is a pretty simple affair – the only feature to speak of is the cloning wild. Luckily, it hits at fairly regular intervals. It can be a bit hit and miss though. Land a decent combination and the rewards can quickly mount. We’d put the variance on the high side of medium.

Well-designed as usual and offering a hint of China, Divine Ways is a surprisingly entertaining slot, especially given the paucity of features on offer. The cloned wilds are a fine addition though – get lucky with these and the jackpot on offer here can indeed be divine. However, I do prefer free spins with Jade Charms a good Red Tiger Gaming title to try.
