The Case Closed slot is played over 5 reels, 4 rows and 50 paylines. To create a win, you must simply land 3 or more matching symbols on adjacent reels, from left to right, along a payline. The exception to this is the 2 highest value symbols, which only require a minimum of 2 matching symbols.

Theme – noir detective crime caper

As the name suggests, Case Closed has a detective theme. The reels hang against a dim lit, and slightly shabby office, giving it a film noir vibe. It’s similar in look to Brooklyn Bootleggers by Quickspin, though all of the action takes place at the detective’s desk.

On the reels, low paying symbols include 10 to Ace royals. Higher value symbols include a badge, a car and a gun. The detective is the highest paying symbol, rewarding you with 400 x your stake for a 5-of-a-kind combination.

Case Case closed does not feature a wild symbol. Instead, there are two scatters, Evidence and Clue, which can be collected to trigger bonus features.

Each case you solve boosts your Interrogation feature:

Interrogation Feature

To the left of the reels, you’ll see 3 suspects. To start the Interrogation feature, you need to collect 7 Clue symbols, which can land on reels 2, 3, and 4. When triggered, you’ll interrogate 3 Suspects that have random instant cash prizes attached to them, based on the following multipliers:

• Suspect 1: 5x, 10x or 15x
• Suspect 2: 25x, 30x, 40x, 50x or 75x
• Suspect 3: 100x, 150x, 250x, 350x or 500x

Each interrogation’s result (successful or unsuccessful) is random. On a successful interrogation, you win that Suspect’s prize and move to the next Suspect. The feature ends on the first unsuccessful interrogation or when all Suspects are successfully interrogated.

Case Closed Slot Review Summary – a slow day at the office

A dectective-noir themed slot is nothing new, but we think Red Tiger Gaming have pulled it off nicely in terms of appearance. The design is good, and the features push the narrative. However, they can be a little underwhelming.

The Case Closed slot is easy to follow and there’s some innovation in the way the bonus features work. However, given the high volatility of the slot and the fact you need to collect several scatters to trigger anything, you can spin for a while without any action.

The highest prizes are locked away behind 30 Evidence scatters. Land these, and you’ll then need at least 7 more Clue scatters to unlock the high multipliers. As this is your chance at reaching those 2,640 x bet max wins, it can feel like a lot of effort for not much to begin with.

Overall, we enjoyed the story of the Case Closed slot. We wish it was a little more fast-paced, however. Another feature such as free spins or cascades would be useful, allowing you to rack up clues in fewer spins.
