Celebrating clocks, watches and all things horological, Time Is Money is a 5 reel, 20 payline slot from Realistic Games. It’s not the most beautifully designed game you’ll see but who cares when there’s a bonus feature that awards up to 96 free spins with multipliers of up to 12x applied to each winning combination. Play, on all devices, from between 20p and £200 per spin.

The design in Time In Money is pretty simple – flanked by a selection of timepieces, the reels have a steam punk feel. Joining the lower value A to 9 playing cards are a time machine, a Victorian-era inventor and his female assistant. 3, 4 or 5 of the inventor on a payline will get you 4, 16 or 40 times your total stake. Joining the standard symbols is the Time Is Money logo which is the wild – it substitutes for everything bar the bonus scatter.

Keep a special eye out for the watch which is the scatter – 3, 4 or 5 of them anywhere on the reels on the same spin triggers the Free Spins Bonus feature and with it, 12, 24 or 48 free spins. After every win in the feature, a giant clock face will appear – the hand will spin with each hour equalling a multiplier value which will be applied to your win from that free spin.

For example, if the clock hand lands at 10 o’clock your payout is boosted by a 10x multiplier. Once a specific time has been hit, it is removed from the active clock face. If all 12 times are awarded, then you’ll win the special jackpot prize of 5,000 coins (250 times your stake). You can re-trigger more free spins here too giving you up to 96 free spins in total.

We’ve been a little underwhelmed by previous Realistic Games slots and fired Time Is Money up with a certain amount of trepidation – we’re pleased to say that it exceeded expectations. The visuals aren’t the most sophisticated you’ll see but the design is clear and crisp. The piano backing track sounds like its comes straight out of a silent movie and works well.

Our big complaint against slots from this developer has been the rather pedestrian features – they’ve spiced things up here with an impressive free spins round which offers plenty of potential. The number of free spins on offer are impressive enough. Throw in a potential multiplier on each free spin and the bonus round becomes well worth triggering.

It’s not perfect by any means but Time Is Money is a step up for Realistic Games – we hope to see more games like this from then in the future. If you like multipliers in free spins features, Play ‘N Go’s Pearls of India is recommended.
