Golden Glyph 3 is played across 7 reels with a cluster pays mechanism. However, unlike the original Golden Glyph and Golden Glyph 2 slots, in this release each reel can contain between 5 to 9 symbols each.

The slot also boasts Quickspin’s unique Chaos Clusters mechanism. This means that to land a win, symbols only need to be partially connected to each other. In short, you need 5 or more matching symbols appearing adjacent to each other.

Power Glyph Feature

As mentioned earlier, Golden Glyph 3 has two special symbols, the first of which is the Power Glyph. One Power Glyph symbol is created and placed on the grid randomly, every time you create at least one winning cluster.

The Power Glyph then acts as a wild and , if a Power Glyph is included in a win, a Power Up modifier is awarded.

Power Up Feature

Golden Glyph Feature

On the first free spin, a Golden Glyph symbol is added to the reels. This remains in play for the duration of the round, and moves to a random position between spins.

The Golden Glyph symbol carries a 2x multiplier to begin with and substitutes for all symbols except for the Power Glyph. If it contributes to a winning cluster, the win is multiplied by the multiplier.

If you manage to re-trigger the Free Spins feature, the Golden Glyph multiplier is doubled.

Bonus Buy Feature

If you are playing from outside of the UK, you can buy entry to the Free Spins round for 65 x your current bet. The Free Spins then work the same way as when triggered by chance, though the RTP rate rises to 96.5%.

Golden Glyph 3 Slot Review Summary – an underwhelming new installment

First of all, the Golden Glyph 3 slot looks great and there’s plenty of action to keep you entertained. With 5 different bonus features, it’s definitely not a bad grid slot by any means.

The problem here is that it’s not as entertaining as the 1st and 2nd Golden Glyph slot installments. Quickspin have retained the popular features of both slots, such as tumbling reels and Power Ups, but the slot does seem less rewarding.

For instance, the Free Spins feature can be hard to trigger as you need to graduate through 4 other Power Ups to reach it. What’s more, the Golden Glyph multiplier is also only doubled after 4 other Power Ups. In contact, in Golden Glyph 2, the multiplier would increase each time the Golden Glyph symbol contributed to a win.

The Golden Glyph 3 max wins, worth 10,000 x your stake, are also lower than the max wins of the previous slots. For reference, Golden Glyph 2 offers max wins of 26,800 x bet, and Golden Glyph offers 13,185 x bet max wins.
