Tiki Tumble is a Polynesian-themed slot from Push Gaming. Played using a 5 reel, 20 payline game engine, it comes with stacked wilds, nudging wilds and a free spins round complete with 2 wild reels and expanding multipliers. Play on all devices from between 20p and £100 per spin.

As usual for a slot from Push Gaming, the design in Tiki Tumble is very nicely done – set against a backdrop of billowing volcanoes and stone statues, the reels include 4 lower value gemstone symbols and 4 higher value mask icons. The best of these is the pink mask which awards 20 times your total stake if you land 5 on a payline. There’s also a wild – it spins in a stacked formation and can land on all 5 reels. Find 5 of these in combination and you’ll pocket an award equal to 25 times your total stake.

Land part of a wild stack in any of the 3 rows at the top of any reel and you’ll trigger the Nudging Wilds feature. The reels without the wilds spin normally while the wild reel nudges down 1 position at a time until they eventually fall off the bottom of the reels.

Tiki Tumble also comes with a Free Spins feature which is triggered by landing 3 or more gold mask scatters on the same spin – you will get a 1x multiplier for 3 scatters, 2x multiplier for 4 scatters and a 3x multiplier applied for 5 scatters. At the start of the feature, reels 2 and 4 are filled with wilds. Multipliers are in play here – they increase each time the Nudging Wilds feature is triggered. The feature continues until all the wilds have dropped off the reels.

We found Tiki Tumble to be quite a volatile affair as we went through some lengthy spells where our bankroll went south. There are decent winning opportunities on offer if you trigger the Free Spins feature though where the extra wilds and expanding multipliers can work to magical effect. After landing an extra stack of wilds, we managed to win over 1,250 times our total stake from a single spin with a 6x multiplier.

Tiki Tumble is very easy on the senses – the imagery is clear and fresh and the rhythmical, drum heavy soundtrack fits the theme. The features offer something a little different too. The combination of nudging wilds and multipliers is an impressive one. It can take some time to land but the free spins feature makes Tiki Tumble worth a closer look. If you like the theme, Tiki Paradise from Playtech and Easter Island from Yggdrasil Gaming are worth trying.
