The Generous Jack slot is played isn’t your conventional-looking slot and is played in a 3x4x5x6 format depending on the number of active rows. The total win of each spin is equal to the linked number symbols and dud symbols that land on the active rows. At least 1 number is needed for a win. Here’s an example:

The dud symbol has no value and simply acts as a ‘blank’. When there are more than 3 positions for symbols to land, the total win is evaluated in the same way as described above.

Stakes range from 10p up to £100 initially. But this can increase up to a whopping £5,000 if you use the 50x multiplier with more active rows. But please note that this might not be able in all countries.

Theme – an unconventional trip back to the classic 1920s casino

The theme in the Generous Jack slot game takes us all the way back to the 1920s with a classic land-based casino feel to the action. the Roaring Twenties is when the infamous Balinese Room in Texas was opened by the Maceo crime syndicate. This is a very unique game when you look at all the other Push Gaming slots, and the provider stated that they wanted to bring something different to players:

The slot is played on a tabletop where you have a birds-eye view of the action. Surrounded by old-looking playing cards and poker chips, the reels are shown in a 3x4x5x6 setup with gold lights outlining the main playing area.

In terms of audio, there’s a piano playing in the background while you spin, with the sound of people chatting and the spin of a roulette wheel among the many effects that catch your ear. Land the Free Spins feature and the audio speeds up with the background changing colour to match the one that triggered the Free Spins feature from the meter to the left of the reels.

On the reels, you’ve got 9 numbered chips and a dud symbol. The purple 9 chip pays the most, offering 9x your stake when it lands. If it lands with another numbered chip after that, it will pay out even more. We explain this in more detail further down.

The only other symbol in the game is the golden Jack symbol. These are collected into the Free Spins meter, which also opens the next row once it’s collected.

Generous Jack Mobile

Generous Jack Bonus Features

In the Generous Jack slot there are 3 bonus features, with the Free Spins feature being the main one. There’s a Win What You See feature as well as  Row Activation. Let’s explain it all for you so that you can fully understand everything that’s going on.

Win What You See feature

What you need to understand as soon as you start playing this game is that the numbered chips are simply bet multipliers. Landing numbered chips on any active row will award that bet multiplier. Landing dud symbols won’t award anything. Landing chips next to each other from left to right will award the wins as a 2 or more digit prize.

Row Activation feature

When a Jack symbol appears on an active reel, it’s collected into the Free Spins meter to the left of the reels. It’s then removed and the next row will become active.

When a new row is activated, any Jack symbols on the newly activated row will then be collected and added to the Free Spins meter. A respin is then also awarded where any further Jack symbols will be added to the Free Spins meter too. Any Jack symbols collected on the newly activated row will not activate an additional row.

Free Spins feature

To trigger this bonus feature in the Generous Jack slot, a portion of the Free Spins meter to the left of the reels needs to be filed. A position on the meter is randomly filled each time a Jack symbol lands.

Once triggered, you will get anywhere between 3 and 10 free spins depending on what’s filled on the meter. All rows are active for the bonus round and you will simply spin away and rack up the wins until you run out of free spins.

As shown above in the screenshot and to demonstrate it 1 last time, the 6 and the 8 next to each other will equal a 68 x stake win. If there was a dud symbol in between, it would be 6x and then 8x separately.

Generous Jack Review Summary – build large wins by joining numbers

The Generous Jack slot is different, and different is good. We’ve seen far too many online UK slots in the past that look and play the same, but Push Gaming have pushed the boundaries (no pun intended) to create a unique game that will appeal to many. It might take you a little while to understand what’s going on, but I’ve explained it in a simple way that you should grasp how it plays with ease.

When I was testing the slot, it did take me quite a while to trigger the Free Spins feature, but it was the base game that was throwing up constant wins. Often, the main action will come in the bonus features, but I was pleasantly surprised by the number of big wins in the base game of this highly volatile game.

You’ll see plenty of low wins with single chips, but there’s also a chance you can land, say, an 8, then 4, then a 3, then a 7. Big wins are possible here, and even more so if you’re able to make use of the Super Bets up to 50x.

I’ve not even touched on the visuals and the soundtrack, which are nice enough. But when you don’t really mention those until the very end, you know the gameplay must be good. And it is. I really enjoyed playing something different, much like Space Stacks when that was released. However, this one comes with double the potential with 10,000 x max wins.
