There’s a glitzy feel to the design in Vegas Magic – think the high concept shows of David Copperfield rather than the stripped back street magic of Dynamo. The reels are made up of playing card suits and a range of symbols traditionally associated with stage magicians.

In order of value are a top hat and magic wand which pay up to 7.5 times your total stake per payline. Next come the dove and tiger symbols, both of which award payouts of up to 12.5 times your bet per line. The best symbol is the magician’s female assistant. Land 2, 3, 4 or 5 of here on 1 of the game’s 20 paylines and you’ll pocket an award equal to 0.25, 1.25, 7.5 or 150 times your total stake.

Helping to boost your winning chances is the rather sinister looking magician who is the wild. It can land on the middle 3 reels only. When the wild hits, it expands to fill the whole of the reel.

The best paying symbol is the diamond dollar sign which is the scatter. This awards 5, 50 or 500 times your if you land 3, 4 or 5 of them anywhere on the reels on the same spin.

The game is played using a collapsing reels game engine – known as the Tumble feature. After a winning spin, the successful symbols are removed and new ones drop in and replace them. A new payout calculation is made. The symbol drops keep on coming as long as a new winning combination is created. Each successive symbol drop win also increases a multiplier by 1.

There’s a suitably glossy feel to the design in Vegas Magic. The gameplay is pretty simple though. The expanding wilds deliver plenty of symbol drops and the multipliers can deliver plenty of action. The variance here is in the medium range with maximum payouts of 3,549 times your stake from each spin.

What you make of this slot comes down to your thoughts on collapsing reels slots. If you’re a fan, you should find plenty to like in Vegas Magic. If you do like collapsing reels, Playtech’s Eliminators & NetEnt’s Gonzo’s Quest are highly recommended.
