Random Awards Feature

If you land 2 scatters on the reels in the base game, you recieve a random award multiplier. This is a simple yet valuable feature as there are 5 awards levels.

The award will appear above a reel, though the reel is chosen at random. This means that it doesn’t really matter where the scatters land as you’ll receive one of the following awards:

Free Spins Feature

Land 3 scatter symbols in the base game, and you trigger the Free Spins feature. You receive 10 free spins, and these are played out on slightly different reels set inside the pub.

During the feature, the 5 high paying viking symbols appear on top of each of the reels. If a corresponding symbol then lands on that reel, after each spin it is collected. You must collect six of the same symbols to trigger level 1 of the Random Awards feature. An additional 3 symbol lets you level up, all the way to level 7. So, you need 24 symbols to reach the highest prizes.

You’ll also notice that the beers from each symbol are collected alongside their respective character. At the end of the round, the symbol with the most beers pays out the award it has built during the round. If there’s a tie, the highest value is awarded.

Unfortunately, free spins cannot be retriggered.

Pub Kings Slot Review Summary — simple features work well

The Pub Kings slot isn’t about to blow your mind or win any prizes for innovation. It’s a good looking game and the theme is at least slightly more unique than all the other viking slots around, but the features are relatively simple and safe.

With no wilds to watch out for, all the action revolves around the scatter symbols. In the base game, the Random Awards feature keeps things moving along, though as the prizes are awarded at random, there’s no saying which multipliers you’ll receive.

The free spins feature is a little more interesting, though reaching those max wins of 5,000 x stake still seems unlikely. You need to rack up at least 24 matching symbols over 10 spins to reach level 7, which is when the 5,000x multiplier becomes available. What’s more, even if you do, if the viking doesn’t have enough pints, this prize slips through your fingers.

Overall, the Pub Kings slot is a simple game that can be a little frustrating. That said, the graphics are great, and the high volatility is sure to appeal to lots of players.
