Dance Party Slot Review

Music-themed slots, especially dance music-themed slots, have been a bit hit and miss. The idea sounds great, the execution not so much. Pragmatic Play is the latest developer to invite players to put on their dancing shoes in Dance Party. Draped in neon, it’s a 5 reel, 243 ways to win slot that comes with a suitably bouncing backing track and a potentially exciting bonus round. On offer are free spins where a multiplier increases with each free spin. Is that enough to get us back to the disco floor? Read on in our Dance Party review.

Dance Party Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits

Simple it may be but Dance Party can pack a proper punch when it comes to variance. This is an extremely volatile slot. We’re talking 10 out of 10 here. With that in mind, you won’t be surprised to learn that Dance Party can be something of a feast or famine slot.

You could endure lengthy barren spells when you’ll have lengthy waits to trigger the feature. Even when you do land the bonus there’s no guarantee that you’ll pocket a big win. If you do get lucky and manage to land a big win towards the end of the round, then look out as the big potential multipliers can really work their magic.

This is proper high risk, but potentially high reward stuff. The max win is 36,450 x stake per free spin so it’s worth the risk in my opinion.

The base game action is standard fare. Winning combinations on the 5 reel, 243 ways to win machine are formed by landing matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1. Helping your winning chances are wilds that substitute for everything bar the scatter and can land on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Like most Pragmatic Play slots, you can set autoplay to run for up to 100 spins. There are quick spin and turbo spin options. You can set limits if your cash drops or increases by specified amounts or end autoplay when you trigger the feature. Stake levels start at 20p per spin, rising to a maximum of £100 per spin. The RTP rate is a solid 96.5%.

Theme – an explosion of colour

Dance Party is packed full of brightly coloured neon imagery. You’ll see lower value A to J symbols as well as a bars, double bars and lucky 7s. The neon DJ is the top symbol, paying 7.5x your total stake if you land 5 on adjoining lines.

The soundtrack bounces along nicely enough. It could be the theme from a daytime quiz show rather than something very cutting edge. The design is neat and crisp but it’s not exactly subtle. The game interface is very easy to use. It’s easy to set autoplay or vary your stake levels. You can also check the paytable while the game in playing.

The simple gameplay works well on a mobile or tablet device. The visuals can feel a bit overwhelming on a really small screen though. It’s playable enough though.

Dance Party Bonus Features

Dance Party is a relatively simple slot. You won’t find a huge range of extras here. In fact, there’s just the one feature round on offer. The free spins round has the potential to be a cracker though.

Progressive Multiplier Free Spins feature

The shimmering white diamond is the scatter symbol. This can land on all 5 reels on any spin. To trigger the Progressive Multiplier Free Spins feature, you’ll need to land 5 or more diamond scatters on the same spin. With 15 free spins awarded, the free spins round starts with a 1x, 2x or 3x multiplier active if you triggered the round with 5, 6 or 7 diamond scatter symbols.

On each free spin, the multiplier increases by 1x, 2x or 3x depending on the number of diamond scatters that triggered the feature in the base game. The maximum potential multiplier in the feature is 30x. You can keep tabs on what the current multiplier level is by looking at the meter at the top of the reels. The multiplier is applied to any win on that specific free spin.

Land 5 diamond scatters on the same free spin and another 15 free spins will be added to your total, up to a maximum of 60. In the unlikely event that you win less than 10x your total stake in the feature, your payout will be boosted to at least that amount.

Dance Party Review Summary – super simple yet super volatile

With its neon visuals, there’s a glossy, high spec look to the Dance Party slot. There’s nothing complicated about the gameplay either. If you’re after a slot that offers a range of extras, look elsewhere.

The only feature is the free spins round. The multipliers can make the lengthy waits to trigger it worthwhile. To the tune of 36,450 x stake per free spin.

The super volatile action won’t be for everyone but if you like high variance gameplay then that’s just what’s on offer in this simple but surprisingly fiery slot. If you like neon colours and a music theme, the Wild Beats slot by Playtech would be my choice.

If you want a party with Jesus, a party grandma and DJ P5ychØ Manhunt, The Rave slot from Nolimit City is recommended. With 2 free spins features and 3 random features, it comes with 41,500 x bet max wins.
