Cash Elevator Slot Review

Climb aboard the Cash Elevator slot, a highly unusual 5 reel, 20 payline game from Pragmatic Play. Boasting impressive 1930s era design, the higher up the elevator you go, the more lower value symbols are removed from the game grid. Stacked wilds can trigger the Dead Lover Free Spins feature. These come with stacked wilds that are in play throughout. Make it all the way to the 13 floor and you’ll trigger the Hold and Spin feature where you can boost your cash awards with multipliers of up to 10x. Cash Elevator Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits

The Cash Elevator slot is played on 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 paylines. To create a winning combination, land 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols or wilds from left to right on a payline, starting from the leftmost reel.

Stake levels range from between 20p and £100 per spin. Use the + and – buttons in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to adjust. Like most slots in the Pragmatic Play catalogue, the paytable amounts are shown in cash rather than coins. It’s all very straightforward to follow.

The Cash Elevator RTP is 96.64% which is better than average. This is a high variance slot. On a scale of 1 to 5, I’d put the volatility at the maximum of 5. The most you can win from a single spin here is 20,000 x your total stake.

Theme – Audio & Design Features – help 2 lovers get back together

The design in the Cash Elevator slot is unusual but very appealing. The setting is a steampunk-style elevator in a vintage block of flats. It’s a rather shabby and creepy version of the type of place where Poirot might live.

The storyline focuses on 2 lovers who you aim to get back together. The rather creepy mechanical-style design here is impressively done. Likewise, the soundtrack which has plenty of heft.

Symbols on display here include A to 9 royals, luggage, a vintage car, a key, a telephone, a pocket watch and a black cat. The most lucrative symbol is the Cash Elevator building. Land 3, 4 or 5 of these on a payline for a payout of 2.5, 15 or 50 x your total stake. Which symbols are in play depends on which floor the elevator has reached. The higher up you go, the more lower value symbols are removed from the grid.

Cash Elevator has been optimised for play on tablets and mobiles as well as desktop devices. All versions offer high-class design and innovative, volatile gameplay. The Cash Elevator mobile slot is a very playable one.

Cash Elevator Bonus Features

The gameplay in Cash Elevator is rather unusual and comes with 4 bonus features. Which symbols are in play depend on which floor you’ve reached. The higher the floor, the better. There’s also a free spins feature with wild extras and a classic streak respin round complete with potentially large multipliers.

Cash Elevator feature

The setting here is an elevator in a building that’s made up of 13 floors and a basement. The action starts on the first floor where all the symbols can land. Land a winning combination made up of the lowest value symbols from that floor and the elevator doors close and the elevator moves up a floor. Lower value symbols are removed from the grid in order as you progress higher and higher.  This is known as the Cash Elevator feature.

Look out for the Up and Down Arrow symbols that can land on reel 3. When the Up Arrow lands, you’ll move up 1, 2, 3 or 12 floors. The Down Arrow will send you down 1, 2 or 3 floors. You can see which floor you’re currently playing on in the meter above the reels.

If you drop down into the basement, you’ll trigger the Basement feature. You’ll then automatically move to a random floor. This can be anything from the first, right up to the 12th.

Dead Lovers Free Spins feature

The bellboy and the woman are the game’s 2 wild symbols. Land either of these symbols fully stacked on reels 2 or 4 and you’ll trigger the Dead Lovers Free Spins feature.

Pick 1 of the 3 objects to reveal how many free spins you’ve been awarded. This will be between 6 and 12. Trigger the bonus with 2 stacked wilds and the number of potential free spins on offer rise to between 12 and 24. The feature begins on a randomly selected floor.

Stacked wilds start the feature on reels 1 and 5. Land a winner made up of the lowest value symbol from that floor and the stacked wilds move 1 reel closer to the centre reel, first to reels 2 and 4, then to reel 3. When the wilds merge on reel 3, another 5 free spins are added to your total.

Land a new winner made up of the lowest symbols active on that floor and the stacked wilds split again and move 1 reel apart from each other. Finally, you can benefit from unlimited extra free spins.

Hold and Spin feature

The Hold and Spin feature is triggered whenever you make it all the way to the 13th floor. The game first moves to a random floor. You’ll start with 4 respins which are played on a new set of reels that are made up of blanks and a series of Money symbols.

There are silver and gold money symbols that come cash values attached. The X money symbol awards a multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x. Land more than 1 of these and their values are combined. The notes money symbol awards a cash amount which varies depending on which floor you’re on.

Each time you land any 1 of the money symbols, it locks in position and the respins reset to 4.  The feature ends when you’ve played all your respins. The values from all the money symbols is added together, complete with any multiplier boosts, to give you an overall prize. When the Hold and Spin feature is complete, you’ll return to the base game and a random floor.

Cash Elevator Review Summary – a cracking all-round game

I’ve enjoyed travelling up and down in the Cash Elevator slot. The design is excellent and the gameplay is packed full of innovative features. The base game action offers something a little different thanks to the varied combinations of symbols that can land on each floor.

Decent wins can come with the Cash Elevator feature as low value symbols are removed from the reels the higher the floor you’re on. The Hold and Spin feature can dish out big prizes if the X money symbol awards the bigger multipliers. I do like the Dead Lovers Free Spins feature which comes with 2 stacked wild symbols.

With max wins of 20,000 x stake, the variance is high. Pragmatic Play has tried something different with the unorthodox Cash Elevator which is a good thing.

If you like the steampunk feel, Land of Zenith by Push Gaming is a good alternative which offers 21,003 x stake wins and a unique Disc Mechanism. The best is Money Train 2 from Relax Gaming which combines the Wild West with a steampunk twist. It offers 50,000 x stake max wins as well as lots of extras.
