Big Bass Splash Review Summary – more bonus features + bigger wins

Big Bass Bonanza is a hugely popular game so it was inevitable Pragmatic Play has tried to top it with the Big Bass Splash slot. They didn’t quite succeed with other versions (i.e. Megaways) in my opinion but they’re onto a good thing here. Visually, they are all quite similar but this has more of a Hillbilly/swamp feel. I don’t know why the highest value symbol is a monster truck though.

In terms of the gameplay, it’s all about the Free Spins feature. When landing 2 fish scatters, there are 2 randomly triggered features which can give you that illusive 3^rd scatter. Once in, you can benefit from more money fish, more wilds, more bonus feature triggers, a higher level or more free spins.

This is a nice little touch in differentiating Big Bass Splash from Big Bass Bonanza. When wilds land with no money symbols or vice versa, 2 extra can randomly activate to give wins. The Bazooka and Dynamite features are present in Big Bass Bonanza Megaways though. This also can lead to higher levels being reached. Reaching higher levels is where the real value is as the fish money symbols can be worth 10 times more.

The levels and fish money multipliers are present and correct in Big Bass Bonanza. However, the real difference is the max win is 5,000 x bet as opposed to 2,100 x bet in the original game. Even Big Bass Bonanza Megaways only offers 4,000 x bet top wins.

On the whole, Big Bass Splash is better than its predecessors. However, Pragmatic Play have keep the pretty much the same formula which will please fans of the series. It would have been ideal they pushed the boat out a little more and try something completely new. You may also see this game as part of a no wagering free spins bonus at some UK casinos.
