Collapsing Wins feature

When you land a winning combination, the Collapsing Wins feature is triggered. The winning symbols are removed causing symbols above them to drop down. This allows for new symbols to fall from above. It basically gives you another chance of forming a winning cluster. These collapses continue as long as you keep winning.

Power Zones feature

At the beginning of every spin, you will see 16 Power Zones in the middle of the grid. Each win fries a bird and adds 1 drumstick to the meter (to the left of the grid). Every 4 drumsticks increase the number on the meter by 1. If a number is on the meter when the reels stop collapsing, a symbol is revealed and the number on the meter goes down by 1.

A Power Zone forms on the position if the revealed symbol is on a grid position without a Power Zone. If this position is next to a Power Zone, the Power Zone area expands to include it. If the revealed symbol is in the Power Zone, every position transforms to that symbol. This is known as the Power Zones feature.

Free Games feature

The Thunder Birds: Power Zones slot is a decent grid game which is fun and light-hearted. Visually, it will remind you of a few kids’ movies which may not be the wisest move by Playtech.

Anyway, the gameplay is pretty simple and that’s not a bad thing. With more and more grid slots available to play, slot providers are trying to outdo each other by adding various bonus features and extras. Playtech has taken the simple route with Thunder Birds: Power Zones.

The unique Power Zones feature from other Playtech slots, like Stallion Strike, is used here. The Power Zone feature basically transforms symbols into 1 symbol. This can result in some decent wins, especially if you combine them with the multipliers in the free spins.

The key to winning big is in the Free Games feature is from the chicken multiplier symbol for obvious reasons. It’s the same as the rainbow bomb multipliers found in Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza. With 7,387 x stake max wins per free spin up for grabs, it’s lower than Stallion Strike (26,900 x stake) and Sweet Bonanza (21,175 x stake).
