The Flash is powered by Playtech and comes with 5 reels and 50 paylines. Part of the DC Comics series, it can be played across all devices from 50p to £500 per spin. There are random wilds and a Battle feature where you get free spins with cash prizes up to 100 times your stake. Finally, there are 4 progressive jackpots to be won.

Produced by the Geco studio, The Flash is rather simple visually (like Scatter Brains 2). With a moving background, symbols include A, K, Q and J royals as well as various speedsters – you also have 2 flashes logos (The Flash and Reverse-Flash). The one with the white background (The Flash) is the most valuable giving you 40 times your stake for 5 on a payline.

The Flash is the wild symbol which appears on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 – it replaces all symbols bar the scatter. During any base game spin, the Random Wild feature can come into play. Random wild symbols are added to give you enhanced winning potential.

Then have the Battle feature which is played when 5 The Flash/Reverse-Flash scatter symbols appear on the reels (starting from reel 1) – you’ll also get a prize of 5 times your stake. Once in, you choose who you think will win the battle. You will then see 5 bonus prizes above the reels which can reach up to 100 times your total stake.

Free Spins then begin. If the Reverse-Flash symbol appears on reel 4, you will win the active bonus prize (by Reverse-Flash). If The Flash symbol appears on reel 3, the prize is won by The Flash. Free spins continue until each of the 5 bonus prizes are worth by either The Flash or the Reverse-Flash. If you chosen character has won 3 or more prizes, all bonus prizes will be awarded.

Lastly, The Flash is part of the DC Comics series meaning there’s a DC Super Heroes Jackpot feature – randomly triggered, you will come across 20 cells. Each of them contains a green, blue, yellow or red energy ball – you carry on picking until all energy balls required for a jackpot have been revealed. You have the Mini Jackpot, Minor Jackpot, Major Jackpot and Grand Jackpot – the latter is the biggest (and hardest to win) and offers a life-changing amount!

Whilst The Flash is not as appealing graphically compared to other DC Comics series slots like Wonder Woman or Suicide Squad, it’s simple and has it’s own charm. If you were to get a screen full of high value The Flash symbols, you’ll win 2,000 times your stake which is decent. Combine that with the cash bonuses from the Battle feature and you could win pretty big.
