Sherlock Mystery Slot Review

Sherlock Mystery has 5 reels and 20 paylines and is developed by Playtech. It’s based on the famous detective Sherlock Holmes which is the main fictional character of novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Even though the books were written centuries ago, the legendary detective and his companion are still very popular today.

After a number of movies, TV shows and computer games about Sherlock Holmes, Playtech introduces Sherlock to the world of online slots! Let’s see if you can help our great Victorian detective and his acolyte Dr Watson solve the mystery and bring you the rewards for catching evil Moriarty. You can play from as little as 20p a spin to as much as £2,000 a spin.

On to the features as there are 3. First up is the Crime Scene Bonus feature which is triggered when you get 3 magnifying glass bonus symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5. You are taken to a bedroom where you have to choose between 8 different pieces of evidence. You can pick and collect evidence and the coins attached to it as long as you don’t pick an object that says “collect”. If you do, you are returned to the regular game and the coins won are added to your balance.

Then there’s the Sherlock Meets Watson feature which is triggered when you find the Dr. Watson symbol to the immediate right of the Sherlock Holmes symbol anywhere on the reels. The two symbols merge into one animation where Sherlock uses his famous catch-phrase “Elementary my dear Watson” and this meeting triples your current wager.

Finally you have the Free Games feature which is activated when you get at least three 221b Baker Street symbols anywhere on the reels. You will receive 10 free spins with the gun symbol acting as an extra wild symbol only for the feature.

When this extra wild symbol completes a winning combination a random multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x is revealed for that win. Note: The Sherlock Meets Watson and Crime Scene Bonus feature can be triggered during free spin feature which means tons of extra money for you. Additional free spin can be won with 3 or more scatter symbols.

I found Sherlock Mystery to be a medium variance slot. I also found the Crime Scene Bonus feature to give out between 20 and 30 times your stake on average with the bigger wins in the free spins feature naturally. It’s an ok slot game at best being honest – it can’t compare to other Playtech slots like Cat Queen, Great Blue or White King.
