Fiesta De La Memoria is powered by Playtech and has 5 reels and 20 paylines – it can be played from 20p to £500 a spin on all devices including smartphones and tablets. You get to celebrate Mexico’s Day of the Dead with 3 bonus features where you can win multiplier prizes, cash prizes and free spins.
Visually, Fiesta De La Memoria is full of colour as you are taken to Mexico to celebrate the infamous Día de los Muertos – set in a vibrant street, symbols on the reels include an assortment of colourful characters each with their own talent. The rose girl with roses on her head is the wild symbol and substitutes for all symbols bar the bonus, scatter and free games symbols – she’s also the most rewarding giving you 25 times your stake for 5 on a payline.
In terms of bonus features, there’s plenty to report for Fiesta De La Memoria – first up is the Mariachi feature which is played when you get 3 or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. You then get to spin the Mariachi Wheel of Fortune to win cash prizes. You will see multipliers – the more scatters you get to trigger the feature, the higher the stake multipliers on offer:
- 3 scatters – you will win up to 25 times your stake
- 4 scatters – you will win up to 50 times your stake
- 5 scatters – you will win up to 250 times your stake
Then you have Altar Bonus feature which is activated when 3 or more bonus symbols land on the reels – you pick an altar in each stage to reveal an object when then gives you a cash prize. With a maximum of 6 stages, pray you don’t reveal the collect symbol which ends the feature. As per the Mariachi feature, the more bonus symbols you get to trigger the feature, the bigger the prizes on offer.
Finally, you have the Festival Free Games feature which is played when you get the Free Games symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4 – this will reward you with 12 free spins. Look out for the 3 special skull symbols during the feature as these award cash prizes whenever they land – they can give you 1, 2 or 5 times your stake each time they land. Unfortunately, you cannot win more free spins.
Fiesta De La Memoria is an entertaining yet simple game – I found that I triggered the Mariachi feature quite frequently but didn’t win more than 10 times my stake on most occasions. However, I did win the maximum 250 times my stake once which was good. The Altar Bonus feature should also pay out quite low amounts generally.
The best results will surely come in the Festival Free Games feature as the special skull symbols appear frequently so give you a nice cash injection. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable slot which is medium variance and a welcome addition to the slots with the Day of the Dead theme. I would recommend you try Play ‘N Go’s Grim Muerto which is the best Día de los Muertos slot in my opinion.
