Desert Treasure II Slot Review

Desert Treasure II is a 20 payline video slot powered by Playtech. This is the sequel to Desert Treasure and has been improved in my opinion (I’ll get to that later). With an Egyptian theme, it comes with a huge 10,000 coin jackpot which is triggered by obtaining 5 Treasure Hunter symbols. Anyway, you can play from £20 to £500 a spin and it has 2 bonus features.

There’s an Oasis Bonus feature which is triggered by getting 3 or more Bonus symbols. You will come across a classic ‘pick me’ style bonus feature where you choose 3, 4 or 5 Treasure boxes to reveal a cash prize (number of picks depends on number of bonus symbols you trigger feature with).

If you get a map, you are taken to the second stage of the feature which has 2 locations – the Secret Tent or the Hidden Sanctum. Either location will give you the chance to win more cash prizes with up to 100 times your stake on offer. However, I’ve only managed to win just under 20 times my stake on the various times I’ve triggered the feature.

Now, in the base game, look out for the Cobra symbol as this is the wild and becomes an expanding wild on reels 2, 3 and 4 when it appears. I have played Desert Treasure II quite a lot over the last couple of years and only had 3 expanding wild reels twice – both times I have managed to win over 600 times my stake. The possibility for 3 expanding wild reels also applies in the Free Games feature which is triggered by getting 3 or more Girl symbols.

You will receive 15 free spins with a 2x multiplier (wins doubled). You can also get additional free spins by getting 3 Girl symbols on the reels. Expanding wild symbols can appear on the 3 middle reels as with the base game – getting 3 expanding wilds during the free spins is highly unlikely but possible. I quite like the Desert Treasure II slot game to be honest but you will need those expanding wilds to win something big. If you like expanding wild reels, you should also check out Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk which is also powered by Playtech.
