Buffalo Blitz is powered by Playtech and has 6 reels, 4 rows and 4,096 ways to win. Playable from 40p to £200 per spin, the game is available to play on desktop, mobile and tablet devices. The theme is obviously buffalos with a strong resemblance to WMS Gaming’s Raging Rhino (it also has the same amount of paylines).

The game is based on the American buffalo which is also known as the American bison – the setting is the grasslands of North America with a dark and disturbed sky in the background. Other symbols on the reels include skunks, lynxes, bears, moose and oddly enough, diamonds. The buffalo is the highest paying symbol offering 300 times your line stake if you manage to get 6 on the reels – it also appears stacked on all reels in the base game.

Buffalo Blitz is all about the Free Games feature which is triggered when you get 3 or more Free Games scatter symbols anywhere on the reels – 3 will give you 10 free spins, 4 will give you 25 free spins whilst 5 will give you 50 free spins. If you’re lucky enough to get 6 on the reels, you will get a whopping 100 free spins.

However, and better still, look out for the diamond symbol which is the game’s wild – it appears on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the feature and randomly multiplies wins by 2x, 3x and 5x! All you need is a few buffalo and wild symbols to get huge wins.

During the feature, look out for more free games scatters as you can trigger a further 100 free spins – the good thing is that just 2 of them will give you 5 additional free spins. What you want are 6 as 100 extra free spins can take your total to a massive 200 free spins. More free spins can be won infinitely too which helps.

I found Buffalo Blitz to be a high variance game with the bigger wins obviously coming in the Free Games feature – this game does require patience though much like Raging Rhino (by WMS). If you like highly volatile offerings with animals featuring, Playtech’s White King is very good.
