Age of the Gods: Apollo Power is a 6 reel, 50 payline slot which is powered by Playtech. Playable from 50p to £500 per spin across desktop, mobile and tablet devices, this Greek mythology game is based on the Olympian god of the sun and light. Grand & epic feel

As usual for an Age of the Gods series slot, Age of the Gods: Apollo Power looks and sound superb – set high in the sky, it has a grand and epic feel about it. Symbols on the reels include A, K, Q and J royals – you’ll also see swords, crossbows, harps, wreaths and rings.

Apollo also appears and is the most valuable of the standard symbols – 3, 4, 5 or 6 on a payline will reward you with 0.8, 2, 5 or 12 times your stake. Age of the Gods: Apollo Power comes with a regular wild symbol – this substitutes all symbols and pays 1, 2, 6 or 20 times your stake for 3, 4, 5 or 6 in combination.

Apollo Power Respins feature

The game focuses on the Apollo Power Respins feature – this comes into play when a sun wild symbol lands anywhere on the reels. It also replaces all symbols and pays like the regular wild (up to 20 times your stake per payline).

Anyway, once the feature is triggered, you will receive free respins. With every respin, the sun wild will move to a different position – it also leaves wild symbols on the path it takes. The respins and feature continues until the sun reaches the initially triggering position. This can lead to plenty of free respins.

Age of the Gods Jackpot feature

As part of the Age of the Gods Jackpot Network, you can randomly trigger the Age of the Gods Jackpot feature – you then come across a 4×5 grid of gold coins. You make picks to reveal jackpot symbols – once you match 3 identical ones, you will win that jackpot. There’s the Power, Extra Power, Super Power and Ultimate Power Jackpots – the latter is the most rewarding and often life-changing.

1,000 x stake wins

Age of the Gods: Apollo Power does look great but it’s quite a simple slot but the Age of the Gods standards – variance wise, it’s in the middle with top wins of 1,000 times your stake per spin or respin (by filling the reels with wilds). The biggest win opportunities come from the progressive jackpots.

Overall, it’s another good addition to the expanding Age of the Gods series but I do prefer more volatile offerings like Age of the Gods: Ruler of the Seas or Age of the Gods: Mighty Midas personally.
