Dragon Bond is a 6 reel, 50 payline slot from Playtech and can be played on all devices from 10p to £500 a spin. With an Asian theme, wilds connect to give you wild rows – there’s also free spins and a 500 times stake cash prize if you fill the reels with wilds.
With a temple and peaceful river in the backdrop, this calming looking slot has a Chinese theme and looks rather good – symbols on the reels include A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 card values as well as butterflies, lotus flowers, frogs, turtles and koi carp. 6 of the latter will give you 2 times your stake.
The dragon is the wild symbol and replaces all symbols bar the scatter – 6 will also reward you with 2 times your stake. When 2 or more non-adjacent wilds appear on the same row, all symbols in between them on that row will become wild. If a wild appeared on reels 1 and 6 on the same row, you’d get 6 wilds across a payline. This is known as the Wild Connect feature.
The river gate symbol is the scatter – when 3, 4, 5 or 6 appear starting from reel 1, you will trigger the Free Games feature with 10, 15, 25 or 50 free spins as well as 0.2, 1, 2.5 or 10 times your total stake. You can also retrigger the feature to give you up to 100 free spins in total. Furthermore, the Wild Connect feature also applies.
Lastly, and more importantly, you have the Dragon Bonus feature – this comes into play when the wild symbol occupies all 24 positions on the screen. This can happen if you get dragon wilds fully on reels 1 and 6 as all the reels in between will change to wilds. Simply, you will win 500 times your stake on top of the win from the wilds (which is 100 times your stake).
Medium variance, you can win a total of 600 times your stake on each spin/free spin -you can do this is you fill the reels with wilds and then win the 500 times stake prize from the Dragon Bonus feature. Apart the latter, there’s not much on offer from Dragon Bond but it’s a decent slot. Saying that, I’d rather play other Playtech slots such as Wonder Woman or the movie-inspired Terminator Genisys.
