Christmas Eve is a Playson-powered slot with 5 reels, 4 rows and 1,024 ways to win. Playable on desktop, mobile and tablet devices from as little as 20p to as much as £60 per spin, this Christmas themed game can reward you very nicely – only if you’ve been good this year!

Visually, it’s a treat (like all other Playson slots) – set in a snow-capped village with a Christmas soundtrack, symbols on the reels include regular playing cards (A, K, Q, J and 10), bells, star decorations, candles, snowdomes and Christmas house decorations.

Look out for the wrapped present wild symbol forming part of a winning combination as this will trigger the Frosty Wild feature – the wild becomes a frosty wild and gives you 1 free re-spin. The Frosty Wild then freezes in place for the re-spin.

There’s a Free Spins feature which is played when 3 or more Santa Claus scatters land anywhere on the reels – 3 will give you 2 times your stake and 10 free spins, 4 will give you 5 times your stake and 15 free spins whilst 5 gives you 10 times your stake and 20 free spins.

Before the free spins play out, 1 Gift Wild symbol will stick to any position on reels 2, 3 and 4 and will remain frozen during the entire feature. Furthermore, consecutive wins in the feature will increase the multiplier by 1 up to 5x. If the series of winnings stops, the multiplier drops back down to 1x. However, if you reach the 5x multiplier, it remains as so for the duration of the feature.

I found Christmas Eve to be an entertaining slot which is medium variance – the bigger wins will almost certainly come in the Free Spins feature due to the potential 5x multiplier. It’s not the best game Playson has produced but a nice addition for the festive period – I do prefer other titles of theirs such as SpellCraft and the volatile Eastern Delights.
