Burlesque Queen is powered by Playson and has 5 reels and 21 paylines. Playable across all devices from 21p to £105 per spin, love, art and big wins are waiting for you in this Moulin Rouge inspired slot game. Set on a curtain draped stage, you’ll hopefully see that Red Mill on your screen.
Visually quite dark, symbols on the reels include waiters, photographers, a disgruntled viewer, the burlesque queen herself and 2 burlesque dancers dressed to the 9s. The burlesque queen, photographer, and 2 women are the highest value symbols as they’ll reward you with 500 times your line bet if you manage 5 on payline.
1 of the burlesque women (dressed in pink with a blue feather in her hair) is the game’s wild symbol and substitutes for all symbols, except the scatter. The scatter is, oddly enough, a windmill with 3 of them anywhere on the reels triggering the 2-part Bonus Game feature.
You get ready for the show by selecting the items on the screen – each one may be hiding cash prizes up to 3 times your stake, up to 18 additional free spins, multipliers up to 4x, an additional wild for the free spins and the Free Spins activation option which will start the Free Spins mode.
You will begin the Free Spins mode with 6 free spins – if you’re lucky enough to get extra free spins, there’s up to 24 in total to be earned. I’ve managed to get 18 free spins in total before with a 4x multiplier and an extra wild (another burlesque woman) which resulted in wins over 340 times my stake.
Despite the theme being a little cheesy, I quite like Burlesque Queen – the variance is in the middle with decent wins available in both the base game and free spins mode. It’s not Playson’s best slot in my opinion but a decent addition to their ever-growing portfolio – I do prefer the highly volatile Dracula’s Family and Eastern Delights though.
